I am nominating @catalyst.planet and its Founder, my great friend and co-collaborator @amyschrier for the @gimmebeauty #gimmegivesback $40,000 grant! Four winners will go to LA in October to compete in The Perfect Pitch. The winner will use funds to scale their business.🏄‍♀️Amy and I first worked together at BLUE Magazine and later traveled to Bangladesh to do surf outreach. It's just one of many of our shared travels aimed at understanding local culture, social issues and ensuring travel is a force for good.

Originating as a renegade in mid-90s Bay Area, Sunset Sound System has evolved into a testament to the power of music, art, and community, making it a favorite among DJs and party people who know.

As is typical from founders, Galen Abbott and Solar Langevin who tour the globe as DJs themselves, the 2024 lineup is stacked with European tastemakers like the Idjut Boys, Cassy, Jonny Rock, Gene on Earth; as well as local US legends like DJ Heather, Josh Wink, Mark Farina, Danny Daze, Mystic Bill, Xosar and many more.

The vibrant celebration kicks off on June 21st, spanning four days across three stages with 1,500 attendees who are not afraid to show off their next-level festival fashion. During the warm daylight hours, revelers flock to the beloved Beach Stage transitioning among swimming, dancing, and bobbing along the Feather River in all manner of colorful flotation devices fit for a rave.

In MIA tonight? Get to @danteshifi for legendary @djprincepaul and @richmedina celebration of the Native Tongues sound. I was lucky to attend last month after Dave 🕊 passed for this celebration of his life and all things @wearedelasoul including an appearance by @jarobiwhite from Tribe @atcq and all the beats, rhymes and life associated for this special moment in hip-hop history that revolutionized the community, the sound and gave so many people a place to “be” within the hip-hop movement. De la Soul and especially Prince Paul—who made me laugh so hard when life got too hectic was a huge part of my experience.
