I’ve been using this @progradedigital combo for almost a month now - I got it on a few weddings, shot almost a dozen thousand photos, and a bunch of videos and let me tell you, it is the best thing I’ve got for my workflow for quite a while!

The Type A card is ultra fast, ultra reliable and the build quality reassures me every time I put it in the slot, while the PGM12 card reader has built it usb-c compatibility and can be used both on my Mac and my iPhone for some Pro-Res footage!

CFExpress Type A and B cards…what are they? A much faster card better for handling large files sizes.

Higher sustained write speeds (when your camera is recording, it is “writing” to the card.

Faster read speeds (moving the footage from your card to your computer)

Better for high bitrate recording (like 4k 120fps or higher)

I had a shoot where I was filming volleyball on my Sony FX3 and my card froze. I didn’t lose any prior footage, but the camera couldn’t read it because the write speed wasn’t high enough on the card for what the camera was filming. I went out, bought a @progradedigital CFExpress Type A card and have never had an issue again. Not to mention transfer speeds are so much faster now. by @progradedigital
