Congratulations to @joshua.murphy08 on signing with Bristol City Academy!

We're so proud, but far from shocked to receive this news as he starts his journey with City.

Josh came to us for training in March 2019 and for the past 4 years has been a delight to work with, both in a group and one to one environment.

From meeting him at the age of 9 the thing that has set him apart from many others is not his talent or athleticism (though both are exceptional), but his willingness and capability to take on board information.

From the get go Josh has been and still remains eager to absorb as much information as possible from coaches and other players in order to progress. This attitude towards self development in somebody so young is extremely rare and this is exactly what has got him this far.

With a great family around him we know that he recognises how hard he will have to work to get his next contract with the club he's so pleased to have joined. But we're sure he's going to get his head down and put in the hard work required to achieve this.

We couldn't be more proud of you Josh, you deserve this.

PS: You've earned yourself a free pint of water next time you come to watch @uwefootballmens #ATHLETE 😂 taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @progressive_soccer

Big GK Matt is back and he's been given his @ben.jenkinsandco sponsored work kit.

Snug fit for the lad he's been training hard over the summer 💪🏾😂

Has anybody ever enjoyed a goal more than our new cameraman enjoyed this one?!? 😂

Meanwhile it's just business as usual for Amelia...this girl works like crazy and has done ever since she came to us with her own list of topics to train. The future is BRIGHT ☀️

Third time's a charm ⚽

H's feet are unreal and we've been working on decision making on the ball. When to use his skills, when to use his pace and when to play safe.

That means lots of reps and lots of tackling to give him the chance to learn 🔥

Bout time coach @kitanjaiye got the new @ben.jenkinsandco version of our kit 🔥

We only get the lad when school's out. Apparently he's busy during term time. Something about a full time job by day and scoring worldies by night 🙄 taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @progressive_soccer

@kitanjaiye and @wi11_hughes getting that pre season work in and it's paying off in appearances for Melksham Town and Oldland respectively.

We've seen a screamer from Kitan already against Yate Town 🔥

It's going to be fun watching these two in action this season at their clubs.

We only get him 4 weeks a year but we WORK in those 4 weeks 💪🏾⚽

Loved having city centre back @joshua.murphy08 with us this summer doing position-specific exercises in preparation for a massive year in his budding career.

Looking forward to watching him beat up strikers this season 😂
