It was time. Over many seasons I have contemplated, looked around and listened. In a world dominated by big drops, bass house, techno, dub and tech house I yearned to find a place to bring back the slow burn, the hypnotic, the deep and subtle overtures of yesteryear. As a predominately Progressive House DJ I found myself often adapting my sets to fit a theme on a given night or timeslot. Often only getting an hour when I felt the true calling to fully express myself needs much longer than that. As a musician and audiophile my whole life, I have found myself consistently gravitating to DJ sets that go for 6-12 hours so the full story can be told with intention. I set forth and started to speak with the few Progressive House DJ's that I've met in Texas, Canada and beyond and their stories tell a familiar tale. Their creative journeys were cut short time after time. So I decided to do something about it. I built a studio to bring back those who yearn for the creative leeway over a longer format like the residencies from the early 2000's that I still appreciate. My only request of the guests will be for them to spin for 4 hours as a minimum. 4 decks to build multiple layers and soundscapes in real time and an open approval to GO FOR IT. A sandbox where they can truly play. A place this subgenre truly needs to fully express itself and show the world its true potential. A new home for those who don't get the same opportunities as other subgenres. So tune in, sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy the ride.

This is Progressive Resonance.

We are very pleased to release our fall schedule here at #ProgressiveResonance. Each artist here will be weaving us a unique story and presenting their own take on #ProgressiveHouse. We have chosen each carefully as they all bring quite different takes on this immersive genre, some are more hypnotic, some are more deep, but either way we look forward to a long journey with them.

Go follow @itsdangomez, @margain_ofc and @_mir4ge_ as we build the Progressive Community here.

Cheers! taken in Midtown by @progressiveresonance
