I am definitely a stickler for form.

But there’s more to coaching than just having perfect technique and form. Sometimes, simply having confidence in a movement and knowing you CAN do it is just as important.

Today, in a safe environment, I let my client Newly load up the bar. Not because her form was perfect, but because I wanted her to build confidence in knowing she CAN squat heavier.

Was her depth perfect? No. But did we make strides in building her confidence with heavier weight? Absolutely!

Proud of her! taken in Lewisville, Texas by @project.transcend
