On Indigenous Peoples' Day, we honor the rich history and culture of Indigenous and Native communities; their strength, resilience, and pride; and their historic and contemporary legacy of leadership.

We draw special inspiration from these leaders of courage and conviction; and their vision for greater justice, equity, and opportunity.

We reflect with respect on the Indigenous communities and leaders who enrich our Commonwealth. And invite you to learn more about their traditional lands on which we reside by visiting https://native-land.ca ; and to explore their rich history and continued leadership at the Massachusetts Center for Native American Awareness, https://www.mcnaa.org/

This #ServiceHeroSunday is a throwback to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Megan Burke's @wearecuerdas & to amplify this weekend's #WorldMentalHealthDay. 💚

Yesterday, Megan -- Class of 2013 & 2023 Service Hero -- hosted a fashion show to honor one million stitches of Cuerd@s! Founded in 2021, Cuerd@s utilizes hand-stitched embroidered tactile patches at strategic locations on clothing as a discreet tool for self-soothing at times of stress or anxiety.

Yesterday's milestone moment was pure Meg -- radiant, relentlessly optimistic & powerfully intentional as we gathered on World Mental Health Day. 35ONE family members proudly served as models, event ops, volunteers & cheering fans!

At 35ONE, there's no greater joy that witnessing our Alumni create the change they wish to see in the world. And to do so with brilliance, passion & vision rooted in empathy, equity & love.

It's our mission & our purpose.

Better yet...to have the privilege of partnership, as we do with Megan & Cuerd@s to amplify the wellness, dignity, & worth of every member of every community.

Congratulations, Megan! We love you & are so grateful & proud of you!

"Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher." ~ Japanese Proverb

On World Teachers Day, we celebrate & appreciate Project 351's statewide community of educators -- heroes, mentors & essential partners in our youth-led movement for social change. We honor their seemingly endless superpowers...especially, their unrelenting faith in the potential of every child.

With gratitude, a repost of a video featured at July's Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents' Annual Executive Institute. It features reflections by Gabriel Laferriere of Middleborough honoring Steve Minarovich; Lilah Nash of Abington honoring Carla Brisson; Kwamboka Kabaya of Fitchburg honoring Susan Orsini, this year's Starfish Award honoree!; Arri Schulman of Hudson honoring Glen Strout; Martin Ruong of Quincy honoring Aliza Schneller; & Misha Weiner of Scituate honoring Karen Naylor.

You can see their tribute here: https://vimeo.com/1211464405

To our educators, Happy World Teachers Day! We send 35ONELove & gratitude for the privilege of partnership & for all the ways you inspire your Ambassador to soar!

Every day, we're inspired by our growing community of Alumni leading the change they wish to see in the world. As educators, enlisted military & Americorps members, nonprofit leaders, & public servants, Alumni are uniting communities & changing lives across our Commonwealth and country.

This #SundayHeroSunday is dedicated to one of our shining (make that, glowing!) lights: Samantha Asprelli, Class of 2018 from Wrentham & founder of @give.n.glow.

As we honor Samantha, we amplify the dignity, respect -- & safety -- that must be prioritized for women & girls in every community, including on every college campus.

Give n' Glow is a non-profit organization that empowers underserved women experiencing homelessness, economic hardship, unsafe environments & other challenges. Their "glow ups" provide high-quality hygiene & beauty products to strengthen confidence, promote wellness & encourage self-love.

As 8th grade Ambassador, Samantha inspired us with her boundless compassion & outsized heart. Eight years later, we feel especially grateful for her continued loyalty & partnership. Wherever we go, Samantha always shows up -- to lead, inspire, encourage & achieve our shared mission of humanity & hope.

We dedicate #SHS to Samantha with love & admiration for all the ways she uplifts the beauty & worth of every woman. And with greatest pride in Matigan Roach, ALC, Wrentham, who leads Samantha's team with excellence:

Ava • Barnstable
Brandon• Lynn
Caitlyn • Wrentham
Ellie • Newbury
Ethan • North Reading
Grayson • Hingham
KayLee • Bedford
Kristiana • Ludlow
Liam • Millbury

It's a day of greatest joy: the birthday of our Honorary Dean, Board Chair, Service Hero, and greatest champion...Charlie Rose!

It's impossible to quantify or fully express the depth of our gratitude for Charlie. By our side since the very start, he's inspired and guided us every day since.

Charlie is walking wisdom, who teaches as he leads and uplifts as he serves. Through his eyes, every young person is remarkable, every aspiration achievable, and the realization of the Beloved Community is just around the bend.

Charlie, thank you for 16 years of building, inspiring, and leading our 35ONE mission and movement. We send endless 35ONELove and every wish for a year filled with greatest joy!

We 💙🧡 you, Charlie Rose! by @project351

As this weekend's Nor'easter approaches, we send gratitude to those whose tireless efforts ensure our preparedness. Each a reminder of the strength and compassion of our community:

The dedicated public servants, public works professionals, and brave First Responders who keep us safe.

The media and meteorologists who guide and inform us.

And, the front line heroes in our communities who ensure children, families, and seniors are nourished, sheltered, and cared for.

We are grateful and wish them, our 35ONE family, and every family safekeeping and greatest care this weekend.

🧡 💙

It is with special 35ONELove that we celebrate Eneida Román, President & CEO, @wearealx, whose ferocity of belief in young people uplifts our 35ONE family.

This is a particularly joyful time as we honor #HispanicHeritageMonth, a celebration of the rich cultures and profound contributions of Hispanics and Latinos.

Last week, We are ALX, demonstrated just that with the announcement of their annual ALX100 list -- 100 visionary Latino leaders shaping every facet of the Commonwealth's economic, cultural, and civic sectors.

We're inspired by the pride of Nirelis Aponte-Garcia, AMC, Holden who leads the Eneida Roman Service Hero Team Leader and we predict -- a future ALX100!

"Hispanic Heritage Month embodies our diversity as Latinos, the rich histories and cultures which has created the vivid community we are today! We're a community in solidarity and in support of one another. In the challenging time for our nation, we must never lose our identity and -- more than ever -- join together as one!"

Nirelis embraces that unifying spirit as she leads the Ambassadors who proudly tribute Eneida through their service year:

Alex • Braintree
Alexa • Marshfield
Brogan • Wellfleet
Carmel • Newton
Esther • Holden
Levi• E. Longmeadow
Lorena • Worcester
Marina • Merrimac
Pele • Hubbardston

On Friday and with reverence & love, we honored a day of heartbreak with peaceful remembrance, transformative service & an affirmation that we will never forget.

We were honored to be joined by @massgovernor, First Partner Joanna Lydgate, Governor @devalpatrick (our beloved co-founder), Ambassador Vicki Kennedy, Senator @edmarkey & @repayannapressley, as we partnered with @homebaseprogram to serve & appreciate 1,250 troops & veterans.

Tribute Service was only possible because of the generosity of @arbellains Foundation, @easternbank Foundation, @nasrcc_ubc, @nascarpenterstrainingfund, @hopeandcomfort, @mahoneysgarden, & @wbztv, & the leadership of our LT, volunteers, and most importantly...you!

Tribute Service is done, but our mission continues. Powered by your vision for a more just, compassionate & united Commonwealth; & with shared conviction that we will never forget.

This evening marks the third and final night of Rosh Hashanah, a holy time for reflection and celebration of the Jewish New Year.

Over the last two days, our friends and families of Jewish faith have marked the new year in prayer, community gatherings, and symbolic traditions.

We wish L'Shana Tova to all who celebrate! And send our warmest wishes for a sweet new year abundant with joy and peace!

We’ll never forget September 11, 2001. But we must also remember September 12 — when we came together and took care of our neighbors.

That’s the spirit of service we should carry forward every day. That’s why today’s day of service with @project351 and @homebaseprogram matters. by @project351
