Carrier deck. Overcast. Something taxis aboard that isn’t a jet.

Walker configuration — engine nacelles become legs, foot flaps plant flat on the non-skid, nav lights live, vapor venting cold across the deck. The crew standing there are the scale.

Original aircraft design. Shot built through AI-assisted composition and iteration, finished in post.

VF-1A Skull Squadron — Standing By.

A quiet moment before launch.

One of my favorite things about Robotech has always been the sense that these machines are real military aircraft with crews, maintenance teams, and people whose lives revolve around keeping them flying. I wanted to capture that feeling in a photorealistic way.

This is another glimpse into my ongoing Robotech: First Contact fan film project. Every environment, vehicle, and character is being developed to imagine what a grounded live-action adaptation could look like.

More cinematic sequences are on the way.

🚧 WORK IN PROGRESS

A quick taxi test from Robotech: First Contact.

One of my biggest goals for this project is making the Veritech feel like a real military aircraft before it ever leaves the runway. Small details like suspension movement, engine weight, lighting, materials, and runway interaction all help sell the realism.

Still plenty to improve, but I’m happy with the direction this is heading.

More tests and behind-the-scenes content coming soon.

A small technical test from our ongoing fan film project.

This shot focuses on a Guardian-mode Veritech performing a controlled hover above a carrier deck while deck crew monitor the operation below. The goal wasn’t action—it was realism. We wanted to explore believable hover physics, atmospheric interaction, heat distortion, scale, subtle mechanical movement, and environmental effects before moving into larger story-driven sequences.

Still plenty to improve, but each test gets us one step closer to the final vision.
