Our final destination flight deck scholarship is $500 and is awarded to: Eleanor, congratulations!!

Hi! My name is Eleanor Boling and I am a 29 year old Commercial Pilot working towards my CFI Certificate. I discovered my passion for flying shortly after graduating college. I had little to no exposure to aviation growing up and actually had a fear of flying. That fear drove my curiosity toward aviation and I took my Discovery Flight in April of 2021 and it changed everything. I currently work as an Operations Agent for Southwest and I truly love my job, the people I work with, and the opportunities it has given me. I owe so much of my success to some amazing instructors, without whom, I would not have made it as far as I have. I am looking forward to instructing and supporting others throughout their aviation journeys.

____________

A special THANK YOU to SWA pilot Jennifer Meiners for your generosity donating to make this round of destination flight deck scholarships possible again!

As well, thank you to all who applied and sent this link to others who are flight training.

Being selected for one of the $1000 Destination Flight Deck Scholarships is: Anthony! Congratulations!!

Here is a short Bio:

Hi, I’m Anthony Hayes. I’ve been a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant for 15 years, and aviation has been a lifelong passion of mine. I currently hold my Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Single-Engine Certificate, and I’m working toward my Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On as my next step toward becoming a professional pilot.
Over the years as a flight attendant, one of the things I’ve taken the most pride in is mentoring and encouraging fellow flight attendants and their family members who are interested in becoming pilots. I’ve always enjoyed sharing what I’ve learned from my own journey and motivating others to believe that a career on the flight deck is possible for them too.
Outside of aviation, I’m a husband and father, and spending time with my family means everything to me. I’m also passionate about youth sports and serve as a youth basketball director and coach.
I’m incredibly grateful to Jennifer and Project Aviator for this scholarship. This support will go directly toward helping me complete my Multi-Engine Add-On and brings me one step closer to a dream I’ve been pursuing for many years. I truly appreciate the investment in my journey.

Congratulations, Keaton for being the recipient of our 2026 back to school scholarship!

Here’s a short Bio:

I am a Commercial Aviation student at the University of North Dakota and an FAA-Part 141 private pilot and Part 107 remote pilot. I currently work as a part of UND’s flight dispatch, to gain experience in the coordination that supports safe and efficient flight operations. Before I started college, I completed an airport-operations micro-internship at Cobb County International Airport–McCollum Field in GA.

In high school, I previously served as Corps Commander of my high school’s Air Force JROTC program and founded S.T.A.R.S., a student-led outreach program that connects high school mentors with younger students through aviation, robotics, drones, cybersecurity, and other STEM activities. I also enjoyed competing in CyberPatriot, aerial drone, and robotics competitions.

As I continue to advance with my ratings, I hope to become an airline captain and eventually contribute to aviation policy. Outside of aviation, I enjoy playing the trumpet, cooking, traveling, camping, hiking, and spending time with my family and friends. I am extremely grateful to Project Aviator for their mentorship and supporting the next step in my aviation journey and can’t wait to stay involved in the future!

- Keaton

We have more scholarships to come in 2026 so keep applying and sending to those in flight training!

Happy Flying ✈️

September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families forever changed, and a nation that was changed in an instant.

We remember the passengers and crews aboard American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and United Airlines Flight 93. We remember the families who said goodbye that morning, never knowing it would be the last time. We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and countless ordinary people who ran toward danger to help others.

And we remember the profound impact September 11 had on aviation. Four flights that never reached their destinations. Thousands of airline employees whose lives were changed forever. An industry, and a country, that would never be quite the same.

For those of us who have chosen aviation as our path, the skies carry a little more weight today.

We honor those we lost by remembering their names, their stories, their families, and the lives they left behind.

25 years later, we remember.
We honor. We grieve.
And we will never forget. 🇺🇸
