Here’s is a little day in the life from our founder @jonseel from up in #relief #nc #greenmountain ‼️👷🏻

We were able to have a steady 150 volunteers this past week, which is something that hasn’t happened in a long time💪

Here’s also a little BTS of us not remodelling but doing some new construction and getting these houses up and running 🏠🏗️

A big thank you to everyone again who has taken the time out of their busy lives to come support the cause. For those who might not have the time to come up to the mountains with us a simple share/repost goes a long way. We appreciate all the love❤️

A little update from up in Pensacola, NC‼️
We were so grateful to be able to deliver some meals thanks to the help of our sponsors and volunteers🫶🏼

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but each day brings us a little closer to helping restore and preserve the beautiful lands of North Carolina.

‼️HUGE shoutout to the Building Compassion Crew and The Students from Chi Alpha‼️

In the midst of the Helene devastation, something incredible happened—people showed up. Not for recognition. Not for reward. But simply to help.❤️

And now it continues… even after a long, cold, quiet winter.

This wave of volunteers is the first many relief organizations have seen in full force since late October and early November. In those first two weeks of October, we saw a steady 40-100 volunteers a day. But as time passed, that number dwindled to fewer than 10 daily. Since then, most organizations running on skeleton crews.

A lot of special things had to happen for this to come together. God is good. 🙏

For this deployment, Team leads took time off from their jobs. Students gave up their spring breaks. Volunteers traveled from near and far, putting in long days — rebuilding homes for families they have never met.

Every small action counts. Every set of hands makes a difference. Your involvement amplifies our collective impact. The world needs people who care enough to act, and by stepping up, you become a catalyst for progress, helping to build a brighter tomorrow!!

This is what community looks like. This is what hope in action feels like. And thanks to selfless hands and generous hearts, families are finally returning home.

To every volunteer, every donor, and every person who believes in rebuilding lives and has helped the cause so far—thank you. ❤️

🚨 **BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PROJECT SKYLINE!** 🚨

We are beyond excited to announce that over **150 incredible volunteers** have joined us—a dedicated force we’ve been planning and organizing for months! This monumental effort has been made possible thanks to our amazing team of partners and sponsors, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

This is a major milestone for our community. Since late October/early November, we’ve been operating with small, passionate crews—many organizations running with just 3 to 4 people throughout the winter. But now, with this huge volunteer mobilization, the impact will be both immediate and profound.

This incredible achievement wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors and organizational partners, who have stepped up to make a lasting difference:

In this episode of the North Carolina Food and Beverage Podcast, host Max Trujillo chats with @jonseel of @localiconhospitality and owner of multiple establishments, including the Merchant, the Architect, the speakeasy Green Light and others.

We discuss Seelbinder’s unexpected role in disaster relief following Hurricane Helene, where he transformed his Spruce Pine hotel, The Skyline Village Inn into a critical hub for rescue and relief efforts. Despite his new nonprofit commitments with Project Skyline, Seelbinder continues to innovate Raleigh’s food and beverage scene with upcoming projects like the Embargo Bar. The discussion also touches on community resilience, the importance of public and private mobilization during crises, and the continuing needs of affected areas.
