Friday!!! Hope you're having a good one. Im genuinely questioning my sanity 🙃 but not going to get stressed. Who cares if someone's house is resting on 100yr old tree, who would worry about rotting bowed wooden lintels.
It is what it is and we can fix and move on. All this will just make a stronger house for the future 😆

Turns out my walls have layers I never asked to see. 😅 Underneath the drywall: a wall of rubble and mortar, stacked centuries ago by hands that had no idea I'd be staring at their work over morning coffee. There's something humbling about it, this house was built to last long before anyone worried about it being "on trend."

Well, hello there. 😍 Wasn't expecting to fall in love with a fireplace today, but here we are. Buried behind years of "updates," this beauty was just waiting to be found. Some days this project feels like one long list of problems — and then you get a moment like this. Hidden treasure, indeed.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. 🏡
For so long, life has felt on hold - searching for my dream house in the middle of a brutal housing crisis. And at some point, you realise ideals have to make way for reality.
My reality? A house in town, not the quaint country cottage I once pictured. No big garden. No excess space. Just... enough.
But here's the thing - this is mine. A place to finally start living again, with everything I need right on my doorstep.
This is day one. Let's see where it goes. 👇
