We have lived and traveled full-time in an rv for 6 years! This is our master bedroom & bath. Many people are surprised by our floor plan because it’s kind of unique. Our bedroom is in the back, the bunk room is in the front, and we have a HUGE cargo carrying area underneath, where we can store kayaks, eBikes, and snowboarding equipment.
We love that our master bedroom is light & reflects our style ✌🏼🚌

A friend from the Camino sent me this video, and I’d completely forgotten it existed. 🥹

One night. Somewhere along the way.

A table full of people from different countries who had started as complete strangers. Food, drinks, sore feet, too much laughter… and apparently, dancing.

There’s something so special about the little temporary worlds you create on the Camino. For a few hours, these were my people. We didn’t need to have known each other for years. We were just there, together, having an absolutely wonderful night.

And then the next morning, we put our backpacks on and kept walking.

What a life. What a memory. ❤️

I’ve been trying to figure out why losing Dolly feels so personal.

I think it’s because she gave so many of us permission to be proud of where we come from.

Appalachia has spent generations being reduced to a stereotype — poor, backward, uneducated, something to escape from. And then there was Dolly.

She never ran from the mountains. She never softened her accent or made herself smaller to be taken seriously. She carried Appalachia with her everywhere she went — the storytelling, the humor, the faith, the music, the tenderness, the grit. And somehow, the bigger her world became, the more she gave back to the place that made her.

She showed the world that a woman from the mountains could be brilliant and ambitious, glamorous and generous, funny and deeply kind — and still belong to those mountains.

I’m grateful to be Appalachian for a thousand reasons.

But today, I’m especially grateful because Dolly Parton taught so many of us that it was something worth being proud of.

She made the world look at Appalachia differently.

And maybe more importantly, she helped some of us look at ourselves differently, too.

Thank you, Dolly.

For the songs. For the stories. For the books. For the mountains.

I didn’t realize how heavy it all was until I finally had space to set it down.

The last five years asked more of me than I thought I had—and somehow, I’m still here. Softer in some ways, stronger in others… but most of all, free.

This walk isn’t about proving anything.
It’s about honoring what I carried… and choosing to release it.

If you’ve been holding something heavy too—this is your reminder: you don’t have to carry it forever. 🤍

Welp, logging more miles. I average about 17-20 a week now, but that’s nothing when you consider I’ll be hiking that consecutively for 2 weeks. I hope my @altrarunning Lone Peaks are a good choice because we’re about to log some miles on the #caminodesantiago! Anyone wanna see some of the other gear that I’ll be taking? I’m going ultralight. by @projecttrek
