been thinking about roots lately.

everyone wants the fruit.

the growth,
the beauty above ground.

but

nobody really sees what it took underneath.

maybe that’s the point.

God isn’t always concerned with what looks good.

sometimes

he’s building what can actually last.

taking root downwards,
so
you can bear fruit upwards.

maybe the foundation is the blessing.

some experiences are self-inflicted.

curiosity makes you say “let me see for myself”
then pain introduces itself.

you live. you learn.

but i’m learning that not everything needs to be experienced to be understood.

i’m not naive to what’s out there.
i just don’t need to partake in all of it.

and honestly…
hurt people finding hurt people and calling it love is something else.

give God the love you keep trying to find in people.

suddenly, some things just don’t look worth exploring anymore.

pain isn’t something i romanticise, but i’ve realised it can become the very thing that separates you. when you learn to take trouble with joy and joy with trouble, life becomes a lot harder to break you with. sometimes God takes you beyond what you thought were your limits, not to destroy you, but to show you how limitless He is. and somewhere in that process you realise you were stronger than you thought—not because of what you could physically handle, but because of how deeply you’ve come to trust who God is.

there are things that stay,

and things that leave.

i won’t say it’s fair,

but

it’s worth it.

the bigger picture is how you carry yourself through it all.

there’s a spirit in the mind

discipline hurts once.

regret?

keeps coming back.

“seek first the Kingdom”

was never about standing still.

maybe…

it was always about becoming.

the closer i’ve drawn to God,

the more i’ve met parts of myself…

that comfort
would’ve never introduced me to.

i’m learning

to stop asking God
to remove the fire…

and just walk through it.

because maybe…

the fire isn’t there
to stop you.

it’s there

to introduce you
to yourself.

lol i was in Brazil once and a friend over dinner told me..

“life is not easy, but it is simple.”

never understood it at the time.

but…

i’ve carried those words with me ever since.

now…

the more i see?
the more i wonder… have i spent so much of life making simple things difficult?

chasing certainty.

forcing outcomes.

carrying unassigned weights.

maybe life was never meant to be easy.

but maybe….
it was meant to be lived with trust.

i just know that whenever i slow down….creation reminds me that the deepest things in life are often the simplest.

always used to hear “it’s darkest before dawn”.

but no one talks about the moments where u genuinely wonder if the sun is ever coming back.

i guess that’s why Joseph’s story has always stayed with me.

not because he reached the palace…

but because he kept becoming the man God was shaping in the pit and the prison.

every season carries something.
even the ones i never chose.

so now i don’t rush the story.

the ending of a thing has a way of redeeming every chapter, as it’s better than the beginning of a thing.

a world full of commentary will always drown out solutions.

i’ve been learning that progress isn’t accidental.

it’s the fruit of living in alignment with truth.

not because i’ve mastered it.

most of my lessons weren’t learnt through information.

it was through alignment.

came to understand God isn’t only interested in changing my circumstances.

he also reveals the laws behind them.

not rules to restrict us,
but laws to free us.

i’m nowhere near having it all figured out.

i’m just sharing what i’ve been learning along the way

most people don’t need answers as much as they need to feel heard.

pain has a way of forming us into who God always intended us to be. Elijah found Him in the wilderness, David was shaped in obscurity, and Job discovered depths of God through suffering.

maybe becoming isn’t found in striving. Maybe it’s found in being present.

because when you stop obsessing over who you’re becoming and remain faithful to where you are, God quietly turns you into someone.

there’s a beauty hidden in becoming.

in the waiting. the stretching. the obscurity.

joseph wasn’t built in the palace.

he was built in the pit. the prison. the process.

some truths can crush you if they arrive before you’ve grown enough to carry them.
somewhere along the way we’ve started to behave as if patience is a punishment.

it’s construction.

the process is where God builds the parts of you that the destination requires.
and maybe that’s why the journey holds so much beauty…

because by the time you finally arrive?
 you’re no longer the same person who first asked for it.
