First model of 2025! 🥳🥳 Finished this tanith signaller using the new @tinylegend.minis heads and a bit of sculpting. Particularly pleased with how the signaller icon on the shoulder came out. Let me know what you think!

Very fortunate to have won silver in the 2026 Mithril Brush online masters painting competition in the monster category!

I was a bit unsure whether or not to enter as there a couple of bits I wanted to add and tweak, but I'm glad I did!

Feeling motivated to paint some more middle earth stuff 🧝‍♂️

One of the mountain trolls I finished painting a few months ago. Good refresher from 40k. I love the lotr range, and this model was some of the best fun I've had painting. Particularly enjoyed the sword, and doing some water effects on the base was quick and rewarding!

Looking forward to more!

The MIP (marine improvement project) 😅

Love them or hate them these sculpts are fantastic for improving fundamentals. I've been lucky to receive some great feedback recently and the goal of this guy was to push contrast and saturation.

I'm happy with the improvement, but I knowing what I know now I'd like to go back and do one with a slightly more refined line weight and perhaps some extra layers on the highlights to improve the smoothness and uniformity.

The more you know!

In lieu of the new releases I thought I'd share a work in progress shot of a krieg centaur.

I actually painted this a number of years ago and given it's rarity I wanted to bring it up to standard. I've redone the entire paint job bar the inards and the guardsmen. Still having fun with oil paints and pigments.

Guardsmen will receive a touchup and have their lenses done then it should be good to go. 🚜🚜🚜

The rescue Russ is complete! I had so much fun with this thing. It's gone from potential lost cause to one of my favourite vehicles.

It's amazing how many hours can disappear during the weathering process. Looking forward to doing more experiments with oils and pigments. Particularly enjoyed mixing powders in with texture paints to create variations in mud colour/dryness.

Happy Easter all 🐣🥚

Rescue Russ update no. 2

After a suggestion from @143rd_siege I made some traction logs for the side, added an antenna to the turret and a coil of cable to the other side. Debating on adding some packs, if anyone has any recommendations let me know 😈

Update on the rescue Russ, done some basic work with the camo netting, and put together some bits for the stowage. I've managed to cover up some of the major mold slips... 😅😭

For the turret so far we have a couple of packs, a tool box, a makeshift bit of tarp, and the cam netting.

The spare wheel for the artillery and the coil of cable will go on the sides of the hull, along with the spare tracks. Let me know what you think/if you have any suggestions. I'm going to make an attempt to turn this project into a series. We'll see how it goes...

Little guy appreciation post. I love when kits include pieces like this, and the combat roomba is no exception 💀

An old metal kroxigor I did as a part of a recent @siegestudios blood bowl commission. Such a cool model that I never knew existed 🧐
