For the Day 5 Smartphone Motion Design Challenge (SMDC) hosted by @femimaven_ and @mavenmint, we were tasked with the quest of creating an explainer video for Flowdeck. Flowdeck is a SaaS company with products that incorporate an all-in-one dashboard built for professionals and teams to manage their entire workflow from one central place. The Flowdeck dashboard includes: Email, Contact management, Crypto wallet, Invoicing, Banking, Kanban board, To-do list, Team chat and Calendar. The quest was required to show how the dashboard could perform all these tasks without using multiple apps thereby helping users save time, stay organized, and remain fully in control of their workflow. The Flowdeck video is 47 seconds long and in a 16:9 size, designed with the alight motion app. The background music, an upbeat was downloaded from pixabay'. Important to note also that the primary font used was Product Sans, and I incorporated the brand logo, elements, screen and colour codes as required of me.  In the app, I used effects such as wipe, raster extrude, saturation/vibrance, text spacing, text transform, four-gradient colour, flip, wave warp. The challenges encountered: ✨ Trying to finish in the stipulated 48hours deadline. ✨ The camera tool was an issue, so I had to stop using it. What was your overall process like? A fascinating one to be sincere. I'm amazed at the kinds of designs I could come up with since I'm still a beginner. For the Day 4 Smartphone Motion Design Challenge (SMDC) hosted by @femimaven_ and @mavenmint, we were tasked with the quest of creating a motion design animation for PayNow. Paynow is a modern E-wallet app that allows users to store money, make payments, and manage transactions  — all in just a few taps. The quest was required to show how easy it is to sign up, the app’s key attributes and the overall ease and speed of being a user of Paynow. The PayNow video is 1min 11 seconds long, and in a 16:9 size. The background music was downloaded from pixabay'. Important to note also that the primary font used was Product Sans, and I incorporated the brand logo, elements, screen and colour codes as required of me.  The PayNow App UI has engaging features like: profile, history, top up, transfer, scan-to-pay, home, sign-up and onboarding; each doing their own specific function. The challenges encountered: ✨ This is the most tasking challenge I've done so far. ✨ Trying to finish in the stipulated 48hours deadline. What was your overall process like? Hmmmn!  One thing I had in mind was never to give up. For the Day 3 Smartphone Motion Design Challenge (SMDC) hosted by @femimaven_ and @mavenmint , we were tasked with the quest of creating a motion design animation done already with after effects for Kupay Finance using alight motion. KupayFinance  is a leading payment service provider for the main EVM networks. You can always get started to using it by creating a free Defi bank account. Since it was replication, all designs and animations were done in the project section. Effects like text randomiser, wipe, text spacing and the null controller tool were brought into use. The background music was extracted from the original video with the alightmotion app. The animation is a 33 second video and in a 16:9 size. A little change: Hello to Yo!, 75,000 to 80,000 ( for the sake of authenticity) The challenges encountered: ✨ I had fear at the beginning knowing fully well the original video was created with system after effects. ✨ Trying as much as possible to make sure that every movement synced with the background music. ✨ Trying to finish in the stipulated 24hours deadline. What was your overall process like? Splendid! This is a clear awareness that motion designs created with after effects can be replicated with alightmotion on your smartphone. For the Day 2 Smartphone Motion Design Challenge (SMDC) hosted by @femimaven_ and @mavenmint, we were tasked with the quest of animating a prescribed Logo. I created the Logo animation video for a motion design brand, MavenMint. Maven Mint is a fast-growing motion design brand that’s dedicated to empowering smartphone users with the skills to create high-quality, professional animations using tools like Alight Motion. It is founded by @femimaven_ I used the smart phone app, Alight motion; creating different scenes first in the element section before finally combining all the scenes into one in the project section. Effects like drawing progress, edge glow, wipe were put into action. The sound effects that brought light to the animation was gotten from ‘pixabay’. The logo animation is a 10 second video. The challenges encountered: ✨ How to combine the right techniques to different styles to create a good animation. ✨ Trying as much as possible not to create below or above the stipulated time frame. What was your overall process like? Awesome. Below is the full animation of the short clip I posted earlier in anticipation. Process: I created a motion design video for a fintech company, Xebar during the Smartphone Motion Design Challenge hosted by @femimaven_ and @mavenmint. I used the smart phone app, Alight motion; creating different scenes first in the element section before finally combining all the scenes into one in the project section. The Xebar app motion video explains the discovery of a problem in the fintech world, providing the required solution to the problem as Xebar and a call-to-action, where users can download the app. I added sound effects and background music gotten from 'pixabay' and made the voice over using the app, ‘AI text to Speech'. Challenges encountered: ✨ At a point in time, the app lagged on my phone causing a delay. ✨ The fact that I had to come up with different ideas that can be eye-catching was a challenge too. What was the overall process like? It was amazing. Fascinating that I could actually finish before the three days stipulated deadline. Also, the video was made in a 16:9 size.
