(September ——-June)

I’ve been reflecting on my first year of allotment experience. It’s been fantastic. Growing lots and lots. My favourite being onions and broccoli. I’m ready to move on from the allotment site I’m currently at it’s just not fulfilling what I need so I’m looking forward to hopefully securing an allotment space more locally very soon which is very exciting! in the mean time I’m going to be buying lots more seeds and planning what next years going to look like. 🫜 Unreal 4 ingredient Beetroot cake 🫜

Ingredients :
3 medium beetroots puréed (boiled then blitzed)
4 large eggs
1/2 cup of maple syrup
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup almond flour
Teaspoon baking powder

Mix all ingredients together pop in oven for 30-35 mins and voilarrr beetroot cake.

Even better with home grown beetroot ;) you can also swap beetroot for sweet potato’s. Such a great recipe for people with IBD

What a cranky aspidistra that my parents have

I’ve been meaning to figure out the problem of this plant for a while so it’s been a bit neglected

1. problem it has is thrives on the leaves so I wiped all the leaves down with some water and washing up liquid

2. Problem it neeeeded to be repotted. These plants need to be in small pots. They thrive off literally no room. Have a look on the second page (awful photo) but I’ve put it into a smaller pot

Let’s see how it grows and thrives now 🪴
