TONIGHT YOUR HEADLINER

From the suburbs of Paris straight to world-class stages like Rampage, Dr. Ushūu has carved out one of the most dynamic paths in modern bass music. Blending galactic, sci-fi atmospheres with heavy riddim drops, screechy sound design, and raw bass weight, his sound bridges cosmic melodies with proper head-nodding grit.
While coming out of France, Dr.

Ushūu’s style pulls heavy inspiration from the roots of UK underground club culture. Tracks like "Camden Town" channel that pure British 140 energy, while his stacked catalog boasts major releases across labels like Monstercat, Disciple, Subsidia, Crucast, and Deep Dark & Dangerous.
Along the way, he’s linked up with heavyweights across the scene—dropping massive collaborations alongside artists like IVORY, Modestep, Axel Boy, and Wraz. Whether he's slinging chop-heavy riddim or deep UK 140, expect high-octane energy every single time the Doctor takes the decks.
Drop your favorite Dr. Ushūu track in the comments!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT : TWO SWORDS

Having signed to Critical Music under his ‘Hyroglifics’ moniker at 22, Matt Harris very quickly rose to the top of the D&B scene after the success of his debut EP. He would go on to release 10 EP’s and 1 full length LP with the label, also releasing tracks on prominent + tastemaker UK labels such as Alix Perez’s 1985, Ivy Lab’s 20/20 imprint, Friction’s Shogun Audio and Sherelle’s Hooversound label.

His skill as a DJ secured him yearly slots at leading UK + Europe festivals such as Boomtown and Outlook.

He was hand selected in 2016 to be part of Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal for two weeks where he would further showcase his talent, working with artists from across the globe on several different projects, and being mentored by Just Blaze, Deradoorian, Dorian Concept and Thundercat. This is also where the collaborative project ‘Rippps’ was birthed with the dutch keyboardist Niels Broos, releasing several tracks on LA based label ‘Alpha Pup’.

Having toured extensively around the US since 2018, Matt has made his mark on the electronic music scene, amassing a solid and dedicated fan base. In late 2022 he saw the opportunity to develop his production craft further and moved out to LA from Bristol where he was currently residing. This gave him the ability to work on regular sessions producing for different artists as well as allowing him to opportunity to regularly play 3-4 shows a month in various states across the US. He has played Main stage at festivals such as The Untz, Infrasound, Treefort, Wicked Woods and Lucidity.

Matt Harris’ latest offering ‘Two Swords’ is a project that fully encapsulates his current sound and direction, propelling him into 2024 and beyond. As Matt’s production style evolved further following on from the release of his debut album ‘I’ll Wait, I Guess’, a sonically varied LP full of features from prominent UK artists such as Feux, Black, Josh, Nah Eeto, Deft, and Lyza Jane. He felt the need to evolve and with that brought a slight rebrand to his own work.

The room at Monarch is not gonna know what hit it. 🔊💥

In collaboration with @thematicent

October 16th. We’re bringing two of UK bass’s absolute powerhouses into one room:

🔥 Dr. Ushūū (Lisbon/Paris) — Fresh off massive collabs with Modestep, Ivory, and Wraz, following that same trajectory Hamdi set right here on our stage.

🔥 Two Swords (Bristol) — The new alias from Bristol legend Hyroglifics, seamlessly pivoting between UKG, 140 dubstep, and drum & bass.

Local support holding it down:
🎧 Jon Holiday
🎧 Saladbar
🎧 Wompsta

This is the last time you’ll catch Dr. Ushūū in a room this intimate. Don’t be the one watching clips the next morning saying you should’ve been there.

🗓️ Friday, October 16 | 9 PM – 2 AM
📍 Monarch Nightclub, SF
🎟️ Tickets linked in bio—grab yours before they’re gone.
