We need to talk about the food at @propsbar, one of the best restaurants in Nantucket.

We sat down for a cozy island dinner and got served a cocktail literally named Hades next to a savory funnel cake topped with sour cream and CAVIAR. Sweet, salty, a little unhinged, and now permanently living in our heads. We fought over the last bite. We would do it again.

And the funnel cake was just the opening act — the baked feta was rich, the fluke was perfectly flaky, and the chicken was so tender. The dessert was a twist on a PB&J. Easily some of the best food we’ve had on Nantucket, and we’ve been many times.

Postcards from Nantucket🇺🇸

3 days wasn’t nearly enough & due to a rainy day, we didn’t get to do several things I wanted to, but New England summers will be a must from now on, so we will be back❤️⛵️

Top 3 from this trip on Nantucket:

- Lunch at @milliesmarketack & playing at Madaket Beach
- Drinks before dinner at @propsbar
- Being able walk downtown from our house & shop (favorites were: @hillhouse , @ralphlaurennantucket , @ackreds , @nantucketbookworks , @ellsworthandivey & of course @vvnantucket)

The Proprietors Bar & Table is a restaurant in Nantucket you CANT miss.

This cozy spot offers American style food with international influences. The vibe in this spot reminds me of if your cool, eclectic aunt started her own restaurant. This spot is cozy with incredible cocktails and delicious menu to boot! 🔥

What we got:

Mezcal drink (so sorry I forgot the name!)

The Proprietors Bar & Table in the fall just hits different. 🍂

We were here for a cozy girls’ weekend — the island quiet, the pace slower, the kind of dinner where everyone lingers because no one wants to leave. ✨

🍹We ordered a little bit of everything, starting with the cocktails:
Llorona (espresso + ancho rye — warm and layered),
The Artemis (gin + pandan — bright and herbaceous),
The Aphrodite (vodka + grapefruit — crisp + citrusy),

and mocktails:
The Krishna (pina colada vibes)
Quittin’ Time (ginger, cardamom)

And the food… 🤍
Proprietors always shines with their veggie-forward dishes, but these were truly special:
The fried broccoli (one of those “I need to figure out how to make this at home” moments), 🥦
and the Japanese sweet potatoes — warm, silky, salty-sweet, melt-in-your-mouth good. 🍠

If you’re on Nantucket this time of year, put The Proprietors Bar & Table on your list. It’s seasonal, thoughtful, and the kind of meal you keep thinking about. 🫶

Shellebrating summer the only way we know how—lobster rolls in one hand, ice cream in the other.

Our Nantucket girls trip was the perfect blend of coastal elegance and elevated dining. We stayed at the charming boutique hotel @76main (breakfast and happy hours were a flawless 10/10), lunched at @crunantucket, @galleybeach, @milliesnantucket and @sandbarjetties, enjoyed the sunset with @pizzagemelli at Steps Beach, and wrapped our evenings with cocktails and dinner at @propsbar and @americanseasons.

We started our mornings at @lemonpressnantucket, soaked in the sun at Jetties and Madaket, grabbed blueberry lemonade and listened to live music at @ciscobrewers, wandered the Old Wharf, admired the Constitution House, and made multiple stops at @nantucketjuicebar because a Nantucket trip without ice cream just isn’t complete.

Here’s a quick 3-day itinerary from our dreamy escape — including where to stay, eat, and unwind — all without renting a car! 👇

📍 Where to Stay:
Check in at @76main — a cozy boutique hotel right on Main Street. Super central, so you can walk or take the local Wave bus. (Skip the rental — it’s pricey and unnecessary!)

🌊 Day 1
– Arrive + settle into 76 Main
– Take the free Wave bus to Jetties Beach 🚌
– Enjoy lunch at Sandbar at Jetties Beach — tacos, seafood, cocktails with a view = perfection 🌮🍹
– Head back to the hotel and unwind — read, nap, or simply soak in the charming patio vibes
