Thank you, Lord, for the opportunities, coaches, and people You’ve placed in my life to get me to where I am today. Thank you to my family for always supporting me. I’m grateful for this next part of the journey.

Facility, coaches and community. The 3 pillars of select baseball. If you find them, treat them like gold. Welcome to Prospect United Houston. #selectbaseball #travelball #prospectunited #baseballfamily #houstonselectbaseball taken in Field of Champions by @prospectuhouston

Miserable day at the park, conditions were brutal. So hard to hit and pitch. Kudos to @emmettpeschke27 for getting it done 💪🏽. We talked about staying on the middle away pitch, up the middle all week. Gotta be bought in! #prospectunited #selectbaseball #highschoolbaseball #travelball #hitting taken in Baytown, Texas by @prospectuhouston

Coaching youth baseball is hard. The games, the kids, the parents, the coaches, the umpires and even the fields are so volatile. Getting a group of 10 and 11 year old boys to lock in for two days deserves to be recognized when they have success. But the success is the way they competed. The wins were just a by product. The culture has to be tough but full of validation letting them know how good they are and that they are beloved sons no matter what.

Simple bullpen concept but so big. We can also use this in the game. 0-0, pick the corner, you hit and go 0-1, pick it again. You get 0-2, go a ball off the plate. You miss 0-0 and go down 1-0, come in off the corner to that outer third. You miss again and go down 2-0, get a little closer to the middle and so on. Your bullpen must have a purpose that makes sense. This is easy and can be take into the game.

Before Prospect United, we had our original brands…RTG “Respect the Game” was dreamt while sitting behind a desk dying to get back out on the field. Shout out to the OG RTG guys. We had 12+ guys on that first team go and play college baseball. Some are still playing and coaching. Love you fellas!

“Vision .400”… THINK BOX, PLAY BOX, DECISION LINE. Steps to becoming a .400 hitter. Think correctly before getting into the box, adjust accordingly as the at-bat progresses…cross the line…COMPETE and REACT!! Players- try it…Parents- show and remind your sons!
