Notes on the mutation of sensory experience.

*Extrasensory perception: a 6th sense, intuition, telepathy, psychometry, precognition

Our extrasensory perception, our 6th sense has been moulded and subsequently mutated by an over stimulus of the internet and artificially created prosthetic memories via digital mediums.

We now experience extrasensory deprivation.

*Extrasensory deprivation: The burning of our ability to gauge threat/change/hope - sensory deprivation due to overexposure to stimulus - where’s the reconciliation?

*The mutation of sensory experience is transmuted through digitalised processes via an algorithmic gaze. We conform to the gaze of the algorithm which alters our perceptual awareness and informs our subsequent actions in the world.

The sensory rewiring of ourselves and our actions creates an idiosyncratic behavioural change from the algorithms and protocols of social media.

*Our sensory experience is disrupted by a non-linear timeline of the world, affecting the linearity of our judgement and the ability to gauge future threat.

Algorithms are now texture; adding different textures of content that inform our feeds, whilst also texturing and redirecting our brain cognition into our irl idiosyncratic thinking.

*Our senses have been informed by digital mediums which in turn create prosthetic memories by the virtue of spending the majority of our time on the screens. Our memories are constructed by devices and computers, giving us a prosthetic memory.
