Yesterday, Bennett College and A&T students rallied at the Guilford County Board of Elections to demand accessible campus polling sites, making it clear that students won’t let distance or unsafe routes weaken their voice. A campus polling site strengthens student power and ensures young voters can fully participate in decisions that shape their future.This isn’t the final decision, the plan still has to be approved at the state level. Today, the Guilford County Board of Elections convened to deliberate on the polling times, dates, and locations for the upcoming election. Black voter suppression is very real: A week from today at 2PM, the Guilford County Board of Elections meets again. We have to protect our predominantly Black early voting locations at NC A&T, UNCG, Barber Park & Washington Terrace Park in High Point. Please show up and express your concerns.
