Happy 10-10-10 day
Almost time to replace the flag. A little tattered and battered but still standing up against the fierce hurricane winds.
October 19th reminder vote no to the 9 and yes to stay in Canada . This is the biggest waste of taxpayer money in the history of Alberta. Over 100 million dollars and poof it’s gone, never to return. With so many Alberta families struggling we would have been better to just to give out the money to disabled people they took 250 a month off of and invested the rest in infrastructure, health care or education. I have seen some dumb things in my time in Alberta but this hasn’t to be the dumbest. My vote is strictly a protest vote to show that Governor Smith and her MAGA friends can’t sell us off to the southern elites.

Super amazing day as I walked the back beach n Grand Beach. Three Monarch butterflies dancing around me. I was saying please land. Selfish me wanted to have a minute all to myself with any of the three. What a show that lasted about a minute.

So many memories come flooding in my heart as I listen to the waves against the rocks.
Right now I am in Grand Beach with intentional connection. It might be the last time I can say something to a few friends who have been told they don’t have much time. Sometimes words aren’t needed just a held moment in space together.

Mountains do and can heal. It’s like a weight lifting from your shoulders and heals your heart. If it isn’t a day in the mountains my second choice is the beach. Put me near a lake with mountains in the background for the win.

The Brady family came from England after World War II, having survived the Battle of Britain, during which my Grandmother in Portsmouth England would pack up her small toddlers and get them to the shelters as my Grandpa was off to war
They came to Canada and settled in Kitimat/ Terrace in the 1950s where the Brady farm still sports the Family meeting tree. Once 10 strong, we lost our Auntie Susan who is a beautiful human being. The Brady clan now down to 4 of the original 10 plus my two beautiful Grandparents Elsie and Michael Brady. The cousins will rally (50plus) and make sure Aunty is resting under the tree. Rest easy Aunty Susan you will be missed

Just an FYI as a former Conservative voter I will be voting no to the 9 and yes to stay in Canada as a protest to the corruption this current UCP Goernment stands behind and the American influence that permeates like a dumpster fire!

As summer ends and autumn 🍂 / fall begin to appear. There are little things I miss. The hummingbird is such an amazing gift and fills me with so many questions. They arrive and seem to quickly leave just as fast. What are your little things you miss as summer fades into fall? The most common hummingbirds in Kananaskis are the Rufous. They head to parts we also like to go when it gets cold , like Mexico, Central America, Belize etc…
