POSTS STORIES REELS

We hope you’ll join us!

We’re opening the studio to adults every Saturday from 3 to 5 (wrong time on the flier). It’s a creative, social afternoon of making things, from Halloween masks to paper ornaments to air-dry clay.

We’ll provide all the materials and light snacks, and you’re welcome to bring your own drinks.

The Friday night workshops are also continuing, with 3 left this year. The next one is paper lamps on October 30th.

Use code *protofriend50* for 50% off on any workshop when you book by 11/15.

Friday night making paper lights! Grown ups only.

We sketched, built, glued, and made beautiful, functional lights. A perfect night with friends old and new. 💙

We’ll definitely do it again in the spring. 💡🌘🥂

Our first Halloween at the studio! Such a treat to have so many ProtoToto families come by and to meet more of our neighbors. 💙😻Cuteness overload!

The force was strong and so were the Naruto characters. Ditto for Ghostbusters and Aang The Last Airbender. Loved them all.

We’re trippling our candy and making our own decorations next year! 💀🎃👻

Halloween masks, designed by our after-school crew 🎭

This week the kids designed three-dimensional, curved masks, measured to fit their own faces. Creepy, colorful, cute, festive: every idea was theirs, and much cooler than anything from a store.

Want to make your own? Join us tomorrow, Saturday 10/31:

—> Kids’ Design/Play drop-off · 10:30 am–12:30 pm · Ages 6–11
—> Grown-up Studio Hours · 3–5 pm

The weekend report: zip lines, trampolines, trapdoors, hanging boulders, an indoor tree, and tiny cardboard Pickles (our studio 🐶) to test it all out.

Our Saturday drop-off and Sunday Parent-And-Me sessions are fun for making something you’re proud of, based on your ideas, with your hands, and possibly collaborating your grown-up.

This weekend, parents and kids cut cardboard, snacked, and problem-solved together and the time flew by!

Saturdays and Sundays, 10:30–12:30, every weekend. Link in bio.

Boo! We made haunted houses in after school this week.

The kids started with sketches of two- and three-story elevations, then measured and attached the floors with cardstock tabs (a lot like shelving brackets). Then worked on their spooky decor. They inspired each other and had a lot of fun making tiny scary things with their hands.

BTW, we still have space in our after school program, and drop-ins are always welcome!

We had our first workshop for adults this weekend, kicking off a new chapter for ProtoToto. 🎉

A great mix of people came together, some from creative fields and some not, and we spent an evening chatting, making friends, and making art side by side. 💙

While we worked, everyone shared ideas for what we should do next…and we would love to hear YOUR suggestions! What workshops, classes, or events would bring you to ProtoToto?

After school kids collaging their hearts out. They collaged on boxes to activate them visually, add meaning and graphic interest.

We talked about scale, visual hierarchy, and developing a theme. They were free to tell a visual story that interested them and play and be silly along the way.
