Plug-in hybrid concept (356 hp, AWD) with gullwing doors, Cd 0.22 and futuristic 2+2 design.
Unveiled at the 2009 IAA as a vision of sustainable performance - it later evolved into the BMW i8.

One-off concept based on the T3, created as a high-end, passenger-focused van with an upgraded interior, including air conditioning, television reception, individual leather seats and tinted rear glass. It remained a show car and was never introduced into production.

Presented at Hannover Messe in 2004, the Audi A2H2 was Audi’s first fuel-cell prototype, based on the lightweight aluminium A2. Its hydrogen fuel-cell system worked together with a battery to power an electric motor with up to 150 PS. Hydrogen was stored in three tanks at 350 bar, giving the car a range of around 220 km. The A2H2 marked the beginning of Audi’s fuel-cell vehicle development.

Part of the experimental C111 program exploring aerodynamics, advanced materials and new engine technologies, including Wankel rotary units and lightweight construction. Unveiled at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, it further developed the concept of high-performance experimental prototypes.

1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣1️⃣ Alfa Romeo 33 Spider Cuneo
Presented at the Brussels Motor Show in 1971, the Alfa Romeo 33 Spider later became known as the Cuneo. Designed by Pininfarina, it used the same chassis as the earlier P33 Roadster, but with a completely new wedge-shaped body with sharp, angular lines. One of its most distinctive features was the curved windscreen wrapping around the cockpit like a helmet visor.

1️⃣9️⃣9️⃣0️⃣ Volvo 480 Cabriolet
Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1990, the Volvo 480 Cabriolet was a design study based on the 480 ES. Development had started soon after the launch of the 480, with the open-top version keeping its distinctive shape while receiving a redesigned rear section and a fixed roll bar behind the seats. Volvo built two prototypes, but the Cabriolet never entered production. Both cars survived and were later preserved in the Volvo museum collection.

The Saab 900 Safari was a rare station wagon conversion built in Sweden by Nilssons Karosserifabrik for Setrab. Saab itself never offered the 900 as an estate, so the Safari explored what a more practical wagon version could look like. Only two examples are confirmed to have been built, and Saab later acquired one of them for its museum collection.

Developed in 1956, the Škoda 976 was one of several prototypes created during the development of a new post-war family car for Czechoslovakia. The compact prototype featured a front-mounted water-cooled engine and front-wheel drive - a modern layout that was ultimately rejected in favor of the rear-engined concept used for the later Škoda 1000 MB. Today, the 976 remains one of the most important early studies in Škoda’s transition toward a completely new generation of cars.

Presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1987, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster Concept was a radical one-seat interpretation of the G-Model 911, inspired by the original 356 Speedster. It featured a very low windscreen, a simple interior and a distinctive rear cover, focusing on pure open-top driving. The concept was used to test public reaction, while the later production 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster was developed into a more practical two-seat road car.
