THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN came in today

Capping off my Collecting journey for a short while is THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN. This is a First Edition. It’s sadly the one that’s in the most interesting of conditions. After an awkward talk to the seller, I had been gifted the Dust Jacket for free. Though that jacket is in a really interesting condition. I did put a protector over it to keep it safe though.

I’ll be getting over to this book after I read OHMSS. I’m reading it all out of order, though I don’t really mind. It’s all for fun after all 😁 by @prowoodstuffed

My Second Impression On Her Majesty’s Secret Service came in.

It’s only a Second Impression by a slight margin. As it’s second impression released just under 3 weeks of its initial publication (April 1st, 1963). Either way, it’s beautiful. I personally really like the ski treads on the under dust jacket. This time, it’s not a replica one either, it’s the original 1963 Dust Jacket. It’s beautiful, and one I adore deeply.

I’ll mostly be dropping Live and Let Die in favour of reading this. I find that book to be frustrating to read, and a really big slog. So I’ll be getting into this in my spare time. by @prowoodstuffed

I’m now in ownership of a First Edition Ian Fleming James Bond novel. The last Fleming Book made as a matter of fact. Octopussy and The Living Daylights. Released after Fleming’s death in 1964. Having released in 1966.

Of course, I’m over the moon by this and I’m excited to read it again!!!

I HAVE COLONEL SUN NOW!!!!! The art on the boards is incredibly pretty

This is the first ever print of the book, when Kingsley Amis had the Pseudonym of Robert Markham. Bit of an odd choice, which was changed in the first USA Print just a month later and in other prints decades later.

Sadly I don’t have a Dust Jacket for this, nor You Only Live Twice, but they still look pretty without. Hopefully soon I can get replica jackets 🙏

All in all, really happy to have it, excited to start reading!!!! by @prowoodstuffed
