Paper is my PLAYGROUND

If you know me, I’m always carrying around a sketchbook with me, or always looking at new paper I could play with. I spend the most amount of time with paper, pencil or ink and it’s where I’m the most comfortable.

Most of my tattoos begin and are developed on paper, spending hours usually carving out forms and figures that I slowly build out through putting down marks and taking away, in a process that I get lost in.

I won’t have a specific idea of what I want a piece to look like when I start, but with the vague vision in my head, I’ll slowly dwindle away forms to get to the shape that it was meant to be.

One thing I learned in the process was just how much care and patience goes into a piece like this. I recognize now how much silent labor goes into artists who refine and refine into something others only get to see as a finished product.

It takes a long time, and I’m only getting clearer in the process, so thank you for sticking with me and supporting me as an artist <3

Let me know if you enjoy seeing the process and if I should make more videos 🐾 by @proxii_dream
