Happy International Women’s Day 🤍I’ve reflected a lot today, on how this day is ridiculous because every day is our day. And also how important it is because it reminds us to celebrate ourselves.I had never planned to post this first photo. It was taken a few years ago (when I was allowed to have my soul’s natural hair color) by a female photographer. But now I feel empowered to do so. Because I love the sensual part of who I am. Someone left my life last year because my history bothered them. And it bothers me too. I’d be lying if I said I was okay with how I’ve treated my body and my energy in the past. Yet, regret is counterproductive. Instead I chose to learn, to be conscious and mindful and selective of who now comes into my life in any capacity. Because we women deserve kindness, love, and respect. We are all goddesses. Each one of us. Say it with me- I am a goddess ✨And me, I am many more things as well. I am a backpacker who travels around the remote parts of this world.I am a lover of all things military and marksmanship. I am an empath, deeply connected to this earth and blessed to feel and work with it’s energy. I am a conservation biologist, here to protect the voiceless we share this planet with. I am so much more than an Instagram post can describe. And I wouldn’t be any of these things without the support of other women I am blessed to know and have in my circle. Thank you all of you for how you have touched my life and for being in it~ by @prrril

Two years ago I adopted a little guinea pig named Prin. She was the true definition of a best friend. Through the darkest period of my life, her presence was an endless source of comfort. I couldn’t get enough of her. She so sweetly tolerated my tears, my kisses and cuddles, even late night [one-sided] therapy sessions. She was definitely my child- loved bass music, addicted to fruit and veggies, huge personality, and very defensive. I’ve been away for military training since the end of December. I barely said goodbye the morning I left- I was so overwhelmed. It breaks my heart I did not give her the love she so fully deserved that day. It is absolutely crushing that when I finally get to return home next month, she won’t be there to snuggle and squeeze. It’s truly been one of the things keeping me going through such a trying experience. I will be in love with you for eternity. Thank you so much for blessing me with your soul Prinny pig~ by @prrril

.The Colorado Trail491 miles from Denver through the Collegiate West to Durango28 days total on trailOne of the most incredible yet challenging experiences of my life. Physically pushed to the point where at times I considered quitting, yet I am so glad that I didn’t let myself and that I stayed out there. I met some of the most incredible human souls, saw the pristine beauty of the Colorado backcountry, and reconnected on a deeper level with my own spirit. Thank you endlessly endlessly endlessly to everyone who supported me along the way and from afar. My guardian angels- I feel you with me always, my @lumitheluminator for being my #1 cheerleader for life, my mom for the care package drops, @skip_on_the_trail for being an ace of a trail angel, @proverbs_of_ashes for visiting me in Salida and rubbing my back when I couldn’t sleep, @mattsmalberger for being the best hiker buddy and now friend for life, Jay / rearview for convincing me to camp one last night and finish the trail together and the best day in Durango, Jason and Amy and the Lake City hiker center for the help and support and food, David for the ride to REI and helping me save my hike, Rhonda for driving me all over and feeding me and showing me LC, Nathan and Carole for rescuing me when my feet were falling apart, Kody for letting me jump in your truck and spending the evening with me hanging in LC, @b_man_dreads and @dust_trees for sharing your energy and stories with me, the ladies who threw me a spontaneous bubble party, @thecoloradotrail volunteers for keeping the CT in such amazing shape, and Bamboo, East Coast, Beaver and the countless other hikers I shared the trail with whether a short few moments or multiple days. Witnessing the kindness and compassion of humanity time and again out there was such a blessing.What an experience this life is, and I am truly grateful for it all 🪽#ct #coloradotrail by @prrril
