Are electrical modalities PLACEBO?🤔

Short answer is…yes BUT NOT COMPLETELY‼️

Modalities such as TECAR have real physiological effects such as deep tissue heating and increased blood profusion that help improve the healing process

But there’s also a psychological aspect that even when sham’ devices are used, some people might actually feel better afterward

Overall, the question of if it’s actually placebo is probably not entirely, but understanding HOW? and WHEN? to use modalities is far more important than picking which one to use.

Zoey was a national cheerleader that is having a constant ache in her mid-back every time she sits for a long time.

With some testing we found out that it was actually her neck that was causing the referred pain🙂‍↕️

Ji shen came in with having pain on the inside of his knee for a few months after he started running again.

After a quick test, we found that Ji Shen was having issues loading weight on his hamstring tendon, which reproduced the same pain.

After the session, Ji Shen is moving better now and is on his way to run pain-free again🔥 #henrymygoat by @prwithhenry

CP3 dump!!🚮

Last week of my clinical posting here at @preciserehab and it has been a real learning experience here!

Got to meet so many different clients and see what it’s like being in a sport clinic (which is what im interested in😛)

Overall a great 10 weeks here🔥 All the learning, presentations, eating murni/chicken rice and the endless jam back home has been pretty eventful.

Thank you to @prwithjk and @prwithreyvon for guiding me and teaching me as a student🙏🏻 Maybe one day I’ll be working with you guys again soon😛 hahahahaah by @prwithhenry

Welcomee!! My name’s Henry😛 And I’m in my final year of diploma in physiotherapy.

As an athlete myself, physiotherapy isn’t all about rehab only🙂‍↕️ Physio plays a big role in making sure that us athletes can perform at our best and prevent any future injuries😤

Fun fact: I dislocated both my shoulders and it still can dislocate until today😭 by @prwithhenry
