Please don’t make us choose between our 5th graders and their graduation and the (having waited 53 years) parade of the NY Knicks - who are WORLD CHAMPIONS- because we will choose… 😬 @nycmayor @doechancellor by @ps125rbs

On this movement-filled field trip to the Museum of the City of New York, students explored Urban Stomp: Dreams & Defiance on the Dance Floor—discovering how New Yorkers have built community, joy, and resistance through dance and music, from ragtime to hip hop, bachata to bhangra. After examining real costumes, instruments, and photos, they stepped into history themselves by learning dances from different eras of NYC.

Students also engaged with Activist New York, diving into case studies on New York and Civil Rights (1945–1964) and Women’s Liberation in New York (1960–1982). by @ps125rbs
