The @chosenfewdjs picnic Pre-Party was a great way to start my first time as an attendee. I came for 2 reasons. 1. To experience House Music IRL where it was birthed and 2. To finally meet @dj_teala in person a little over a year after we collaborated on two House music tracks that are charting on @traxsource! by @psalmist4

I had been lurking and listening while @djmellstarr was sharing new music and he played a song I felt the need to come out of lurk and say hi and thanks for the music. He casually asked the significance of my Twitch handle and I shared my connection to music. He then asked if I still sing and I mentioned the two songs I did lead vocals on @dj_teala’s songs Freedom & Superman. Shoutout to @thee_ms_sweet_t for sharing the tracks in the chat. This weekend was jam packed for me! Grateful to have a moment to slip away to meet more Twitch family for the first time and hug many I was seeing again. The return to Atlanta was surreal but seeing Twitch family helped create new great memories. Thank you all💜🫂 by @psalmist4

@dwattswords and I met at a Blixer during my debut on Broadway for Porgy & Bess and he was in the cast of Ghost The Musical. That Broadway season was actually jam packed full of black Broadway actors, singers, dancers and crew members. Found out he was raised in NC like me and so I kept rooting for him much like I do for all my arts friends and associates. During the pandemic he took time to be creative and be the resistance an artist is meant to be when society is in chaos. It ultimately bloomed into more tv and film opportunities. So I was stoked to see that he was returning to art in the form of painting dancing in vans to music. This is from a small drop entitled “Little Prayer” he did commemorating his love affair with living in NY, after I reached out inquiring about a larger piece of his. The purchase includes the playlist he used to create the artwork pieces simultaneously. I’m using my songs for the reel, because I feel it pays homage to how I view his artistry as a whole. The first week of the release of @dj_teala Mind My Buzz which included Freedom & Superman was nothing but surreal.
