Quiet. Coastal. Considered. 🐋

In honor of @nantucketbydesign week, we're taking a stroll down memory lane with a few of our favorite PS&D Nantucket spaces:

"We set out to create a space that welcomes sandy feet and spontaneous dinners, that holds silence and laughter equally. The design had to be flexible and accommodating; It had to work for the way the family lives but also feel like it’s always been part of the island’s history.

Surrounded by sweeping views of the seascape, wide-plank pine floors, softly lacquered beams, and shiplap-wrapped jib doors add a layer of subtle historicity and quietude that reflects the rhythm of island life, while playful blue tones and block print linens evoke a sense of adventure and nostalgia reminiscent of a sailor’s cabin or a storybook voyage across the seas."

A swoon-worthy breakfast nook that's sure to turn even the most hardcore night owls into morning people ☕️🥞

For this country estate, our goal was to reimagine our clients’ private family spaces while preserving the integrity of the home’s more formal front rooms. Inspired by the understated luxury of Tennessee’s Blackberry Farm & Blackberry Mountain, we crafted an environment that feels at once refined, inviting, and bespoke.

To enhance flow and gathering, we removed the wall between the kitchen and living room, establishing a more intuitive connection between spaces. A dry-laid stone fireplace now anchors the heart of the home, while layered textures—black-painted windows, warm brass tones, soft bouclé fabrics, and handwoven materials—introduce richness and depth.

The home’s story is woven into every detail:

- A repurposed wood mantel from the client’s beloved lake house.

- @lewisandwood wallpaper in the breakfast area which recalls a family safari.

- Woven textures and warm brown-and-pink tones that add depth and a sense of nostalgia.

- Artwork curated from @merrittgallery that speaks to the clients’ style.

Gracious rooms, bespoke interiors by @psanddaughters, and a beautiful setting distinguish this 1912 stone Colonial Revival home. Set on three acres, its thoughtfully cultivated outdoor spaces give way to open meadow, offering as much to discover outside as within.

Step inside during the Fall Festival of Homes—a day celebrating the beauty, history, and charm of the Main Line while supporting Bryn Mawr Hospital.

An inspiring story of custom design 🌿

As the seasons shift and fall settles in, designer and artist Phoebe Schuh of @psanddaughters looked for a way to carry the summer warmth into her home through her own original watercolor fruit artwork. Inspired by memories in Tuscany with her mother, Phoebe came to Spoonflower with a vision and brought it to life in a deeply personal way.

With Spoonflower, any pattern you dream up can become a reality, transforming meaningful memories into custom wallpaper, fabric and decor ❤️ A bright and colorful kitchen featuring teal cabinets and drawers with brass handles. The walls have a floral-patterned wallpaper. There is a window at the end with a Roman shade matching the wallpaper. A narrow pink runner rug lies on the wooden floor. by @psanddaughters

Fall entertaining begins the moment guests step into your home 🌿

Designer @eddieross built a layered, welcoming foyer inspired by @vietriinc’s wildlife collection, using a single beloved object to spark the entire palette. @spoonflower Grasscloth wallpaper and linens wrap the space in chartreuse, warm woods and playful patterns, bringing his signature color and charm to life.

Phoebe Schuh of @psanddaughters collaborated with @vietriinc and @spoonflower on an entertaining edit at her gorgeous Main Line Philadelphia home. @eddieross was kind enough to recommend me for photography and styled/produced the enchanting tablescapes and moments certain to inspire your own special occasions — visit Vietri and Spoonflower for details on the wallpaper, textiles and tableware pictured. This was my first shoot on the Main Line and I was awed by the history and beauty of this region— I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as we loved creating them together! 📷@janebeilesphoto taken in Main Line, Philadelphia by @psanddaughters

From Renderings to Realities 📏🛋️

For projects like this harbor getaway in Maine, we like to see the entire vision all together, from custom banquette proportions and color palettes to the scale and placement of every sconce.

While our designers can visualize it in our heads, our clients shouldn’t have to - That’s where renderings come in. They turn ideas, selections, and measurements into something tangible, allowing us to make decisions, refine the details, and make sure every element works together before it becomes your reality.
