Tonight marked our first preseason team meeting—and the beginning of a new chapter for Paul Smith’s College Men’s Basketball!

As I prepare to begin my collegiate head coaching career, I can’t help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. Every opportunity, challenge, lesson, mentor, player, friend, and family member has helped prepare me for this moment. There is so much to be grateful for, and I’m incredibly excited to begin building something special with this group.

The work starts now. I’m ready to embrace this journey, grow together, and represent Paul Smith’s College with pride.

Go Bobcats! 🏀🐾

Please welcome @sampson_dale_ to Smitty Nation as the new head coach for men’s basketball! Sam comes to PSC after coaching the Tandem Friends School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He helped guide the Badgers to back-to-back Elite 8 appearances while adding a conference championship. “I want to thank the administration and hiring committee for believing in my vision. I’m excited to build a program founded on relationships, accountability, relentless effort, and a championship mindset that represents the college with pride both on and off the court,” said Dale. Congratulations Sam, and welcome to PSC!!! by @psc_mensbball

Be on the lookout next season for All-Conference guard Yashiro Hurst Jr. who averaged 18.5 PPG, 5.0 APG, and 4.0 RPG on 50% shooting this season for Paul Smith. Top 5 in the conference in points, assists, and steals. Recorded 22 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds against Division I UAlbany. Dynamic scorer and playmaker looking to build on a breakout freshman season with an even bigger year ahead. by @psc_mensbball
