Intern Spotlight: Angelina Yao!

Angelina is a rising 2nd year majoring in Information Systems with a minor in Sustainability! This summer, she completed remote work across Taiwan and Malaysia as a Project Management & Operations Representative for Fashion Intelligence, a tech company specializing in indoor positioning, navigation, and AIoT integration. She also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain!

In her role with Fashion Intelligence, Angelina worked on and served as a representative for the Malaysia Mint Intelligent Manufacturing Transformation project. She supported cross-functional project coordination, contract administration, and client communications, working closely with the commercial lead to consolidate technical, operational, and pricing information from ERP, MES, PLM, and hardware teams. Angelina’s role also included facilitating contract negotiations, coordinating with legal stakeholders across Malaysia and Taiwan, and ensuring smooth execution throughout the project lifecycle.

The project she worked on aims to establish Malaysia’s first independently operated mint by transforming it into a smart manufacturing facility through integrated digital systems, manufacturing automation, and data-driven operational management.
