Peter’s yearly post is here everyone. And just like that, another summer camp season at CWR is done. I am in constant awe of how the Lord is faithful season after season. Thank you to everyone who made this summer so amazing. Just a reminder that Jesus stood humbly before the cross so you and I could stand boldly in front of the throne of God. I can’t thank the Lord enough for each and every camper/staff that walked onto camp’s ground. Love you all! And with that, the 2026 summer camp season, comes to an end, goodnight! by @psemps123

As I reflect on this summer, I can’t help but think that this was one of my favorite summers I have ever experienced at camp. Jesus worked in so many ways, using me, a broken, but willing vessel and I will always be in awe of that. The staff was just incredible, and I love each and every one of them so dearly. The campers were all so fun and willing to listen to what the Lord was speaking. Thank you to everyone who was apart of this summer. Instagram only lets me tag 20 people, so if you’re not tagged, it’s Instagrams fault! Welp, another summer in the books. Another summer of seeing the Lord work through so many staff and campers. One thing the Lord has really taught me this summer is that even in my brokenness, His grace is sufficient. I shall boast all the more in my weakness because in that, He is glorified. I was able to be the camp speaker again this summer, and again, I just was able to see Jesus guide me through all of that even in my brokenness. God is good. Love you all so much. Last week I had the privilege and joy to be the camp speaker for 180 middle schoolers. It was humbling to see the Lord use me and humbling to see how mighty he moves. Even in my brokenness, He is good, loving and faithful. Thank you Jesus taken in Camp Willow Run by @psemps123

Luke’s last day at Camp Willow Run was today, and for the past 5 years, he has been a constant encouragement and light in my life. Regardless of what was going on, Luke was always ready to help me. Before my first summer on summer staff in 2017 I probably called camp to talk to Luke 100 times because I had so many questions. Since coming on full time, I have asked 1,000 more and he has always made time for me. He has become a brother, best friend, and mentor to me. He even let me get on his back at a Judah and the Lion concert when I was just a summer staff! (Second photo) While this is a sad day, I know the Lord has some great things in store for you. I just wanted to say thank you Luke. Thank you for everything.

And always remember! They might be able to take you out of camp, but they can never take the camp outta you!
