I actually think saying “that’s enough” is one of the hardest parts of my job.You can always add more.But it is much harder to know when you’ve already done enough.I think that’s where experience changes you.Years ago I’d have kept going.Now I’m constantly asking myself…“Does this actually need it?”The priority for @emshelx hair is its natural health, and keeping that at the forefront of our minds always brings us back down to earth 🌍 ❤️With a high shed rate, adding more hair is not worth the risk! Two years. Four-hour drive each way. Every single appointment.When we first met, her natural hair was around 3 inches long after growing back following hair loss from a health issue. When it did grow back It was also completely different to the hair she’d had before. Her hair previously was straight, but it grew back with tight curls and was constantly changing.Every appointment had a different objective.At the beginning, it was about creating confidence without compromising the natural hair that was growing back.As her hair became longer and stronger, the curl pattern was ever changing. Our plan had to evolve with every service.Bond sizes changed.Weight changed.Placement changed.The amount of hair changed.Even the way the colour and texture needed to blend changed as her own hair continued to do its thing.This wasn’t a case of fitting the same extensions every few months and hoping for the best.It was about continually adapting the plan to support her natural hair as it recovered and changed over time.Fast forward two years and her natural hair has healthily grown from around 3 inches to approximately 16 inches.For me, that’s the bit that’s interesting.Not because extensions made her hair grow - they don’t - but because healthy extension wear should allow the natural hair to keep doing what it’s capable of doing.The best extension work isn’t judged on the day of the fitting.It’s judged by what you see years later.Without doubt, one of my favourite cases 🫶🏼 @pshaircosalon by @pshairextensions

I think time is one of the worst reasons to make a decision in hair.Some appointments do need the quickest option.Some need the best option.Knowing the difference is the job ✨I could have used 0.8-1g factory bonds here. The client had strong, high density hair. But after listening to her during her consultation her feedback on previous fittings she’d had elsewhere, she didn’t want her bonds to feel bulky. She didn’t want any bonds to fall out. She didn’t want her hair to feel heavy. How could I guarantee I could meet her expectations? By taking the additional time to hand prepare the hair. @pshaircosalon @remicachet remicachet @littlelightpr by @pshairextensions

You probably wouldn’t even know this client has extensions.I actually think side fillers are one of the most overlooked services in our industry.Maybe because they’re not dramatic enough.But I don’t think transformations have to be dramatic to completely change how someone feels.I’d choose a brilliant side filler over another full head any day!
