The Power Sector Skill Council, under the IEEMA–PSSC CSR Initiative, organised a Certificate Distribution Ceremony in Vadodara for 96 participants who successfully completed the Electrical Safety for Industrial Workers Training Programme.
The ceremony was graced by Shri Pankaj Tiwari, CSR Head, IEEMA, Shri Shamuelbhai Saradabhai Makavana, Principal, Class-I, Government ITI Dashrath; Smt. Neelaben Chetankumar Gohil, Principal, Class-II, Government ITI Dashrath and Shri Gajendra Solanki, AVP, ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd.
The programme focused on strengthening technical competencies, enhancing electrical safety awareness, and promoting safe working practices among industrial workers.

VOLT — Vocational Occupational Learning & Training, Edition I was hosted by the Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC) on 21 August 2026, bringing together large organisations, policymakers, regulators and industry leaders of Power Sector on a common platform to strengthen India’s
future-ready power sector workforce.
The programme was presided over by Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, President, PSSC & Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (CEA). His esteemed presence and address set the tone for VOLT — Edition I, highlighting the critical importance of a skilled, competent, certified and safety-conscious workforce in driving India’s energy transition and shaping the future of the power sector.
Participants from CEA, NCVET, NSDC, IEEMA, NTPC, NHPC, POWERGRID, REC, the National Smart Grid Mission, THDC, E&Y, BSPHCL, BSES, Tata Power, Schneider Electric and other industry organisations deliberated on the sector’s skill landscape, government schemes such as PMKVY, NAPS and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), skill-gap quantification and the future trajectories of the energy transition.
5 power-packed sessions brought together experts and industry leaders for insightful discussions on skill gaps, government schemes and the future of work, addressing the evolving workforce requirements of India’s rapidly transforming power sector.
VOLT served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and industry engagement, reinforcing the importance of aligning skilling initiatives with emerging industry requirements, technological advancements and the evolving needs of India’s energy transition.

Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC) organized an Interactive Session on Investor Education and Protection on the theme "Powering Digital Financial Awareness: A Sustained Approach Towards Financial Well-Being."

The session was led by Dr. C. S. Mohapatra, IEPF Chair Professor at the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), who shared valuable insights on digital financial literacy, responsible investing, investor rights, cyber fraud prevention, and the importance of informed financial decision-making in today's rapidly evolving digital economy. His expert deliberations highlighted practical strategies for achieving long-term financial well-being through awareness and prudent financial practices.
