PSƧT is entering this season with quite a few collabs, which makes us very happy as we get the opportunity to invite so many artists! Here’s where to find us: 🍦On 18/09 we were at @beursschouwburg opening event with the Pssound system, @catherine_danger & @souriacheurif did a cute b2b followed by @maria.so.lo & @aidonsantoine soft live performance (+ there were free ice creams!) 🔊Saturday 26/09 we’re heading to Avant-Senne, a ghost petrol station turned into a community garden right behind Gare du Midi - 105 rue des Vétérinaire in Anderlecht. Plenty of cute activities for everyone from 2PM, and then Psst family members @catherine_danger & @dyohlo start playing on the Pssound from 6PM, followed by local dub & dancehall mother @jasharrita 🏩On October 2 and 3, there’s a new music space opening in Brussels! The previous @mimamuseum in Molenbeek becomes @jam_sonor (by @jam_hotels @voltabxl)! On this occasion, they’ve asked us to curate a few slots on both days between 6PM and 1AM, and we’ve invited @egutchi_ (live), @sheylahshades & @akano_toto (hybrid set) on day 1, and @emmacaers @joliiah & @doniacobra on day 2! 🎂Last but not least, on October 3, performance collective @ravie.asbl is celebrating their birthday and asked us to bring the Pssound system and invite some DJs for the afterparty! For this one we invited @belleenafro @__hysope__ and @so_phew to close it all off Thanks for trusting us ~ So happy and excited to invite all of you! This time last year, we were exactly at the same spot as today - Beursschouwburg, recording 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 of our whole PSST database (! around 500 names), with the emergent purpose of making a spell-casting soundscape to haunt bookers and promoters into subliminally thinking of more of yo(u)s. These recordings evolved into a whole soundscape, using bootleg GRM tools (thank you, @vent_feun <3) and more, making a concrete, haunting 45-minute file of reversed spells, echoed-out aliases and names of Belgium-based women & marginalised gender identities & expressions technicians, producers, visual artists, collectives, safety crews, performers, and more, over some industrial sounds jammed straight from the noise box, which ended up on tape. Limited copies. You can DM us for a hand-to-hand delivery in Brussels. 10 euros / copy 💚 We have x2 PSST t-shirts left! Size S. 35 euros, or 40 euros bundle with the tape. We produced it during a studio session at @studiometal__, and recorded at @beursschouwburg as part of our Associated Artists residency (thank you both for having us) by @psst___

💜 ABOUT OUR PSSOUND 💜 From December 2023 to February 2024, a group of MaGe (marginalised gender expressions and identities) people got together at Decoratelier in Brussels to design and build a sound system. The idea behind the workshop was to create a space where participants could share knowledge and skills in construction, woodwork, electronic welding, acoustics and sound system culture. From this collective and political process, the Pssound was born. For the sake of coherence, and to counterbalance the predominance of white men in Belgium’s musical scene - particularly sound system culture - we feel it’s important that it retains its political and collective vocation. So we want it to be shared within marginalised communities - the communities that built it. What’s more, our approach as an intersectional feminist collective is deeply anti-racist and anti-colonial. Given the historical context in which sound system culture was born and the powerful symbol it has represented in the struggles of Black and Caribbean communities in the UK, we want to prioritise projects featuring people of Caribbean origin and, more broadly, of Afro descent. The Pssound is more than just a technical object; it’s a collective and political tool aimed at emancipating our communities. Love & resistance, Psst 📷 @beursschouwburg , 2026 by @psst___
