Some of our favorite memories start with a simple Saturday together. 🌴❤️

Mission Bay Fest was one of those days that reminded us it’s not always about having a plan—it’s about making memories along the way. The kids taking it all in, discovering little surprises, wandering past local vendors, singing along to live music, and ending the day watching the sunset over the bay. 🌅

From the beachside photo ops to dancing along with SOJA, Common Kings, and Kolohe Kai, it was a little bit of everything we love about San Diego—and a whole lot of family time.

Because years from now, it won’t be about what we bought or which band was playing. It’ll be about the moments we got to share. 🥹

Here’s your reminder to take the family out, explore somewhere new, and make a regular Saturday feel a little more special.

Psst… your next family adventure might be closer than you think. 👀

🎃 Psst… San Diego has more pumpkin patches than you think.

But here’s the secret:

They’re not all the same.

Some are perfect if you want drinks.
Some are made for little kids.
Some are better after work.
Some are basically built for your camera roll.

And one involves crossing the border. 👀

So…

🎃 Drinks → Goff Family Pumpkin Patch
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Big group → Bates Nut Farm
🧸 Toddlers → Del Mar Pumpkin Station
🌙 After work → Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns
📸 Photos → Carlsbad Strawberry Company
🇲🇽 Something unexpected → La Ruta del Maíz

Save this for your October pumpkin-patch plans.

Check before you go—dates/hours can change

And tell me…

Which one did you NOT know about? 👀

Psst… now you know.

Psst… 👀 One of San Diego’s biggest railroad stories starts in a place most people drive right past.

Before National City was known for its South Bay food scene and the Mile of Cars, it played a major role in California’s railroad history.

🚂 Its historic depot became the Pacific Coast terminus of the Santa Fe transcontinental railroad system.

📍 The original 1882 depot still stands in National City.

It’s the kind of local history that makes you see a familiar place differently.

And this is your reminder that San Diego has a whole other side hiding in plain sight.

Would you have guessed National City played a role in the transcontinental railroad story? 👀

Save this for your next South Bay adventure, and send it to someone who loves a good local secret.

Psst…San Diego has a dark side. 👀🌙

And some of its creepiest stories are hiding in plain sight.

A mile-long trail through twisted trees. A Victorian house with a legendary haunted reputation. A cemetery dating back to 1849. And historic streets with stories most of us never learned.

This is the San Diego beyond the beaches, brunch spots, and postcard views.

🕯️ 5 spooky stops to add to your October list:

👻 The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park
🏚️ Whaley House
⚰️ El Campo Santo Cemetery
🌲 Sinister Trails in Encinitas
🚋 Ghosts & Gravestones

Some stories are documented history. Others live on as local legends. Either way, they’re a reminder that there’s more to this city than meets the eye.

Which one would you explore after dark? 👀

Save this for your next spooky San Diego adventure, and send it to the friend who would absolutely make you go first.

Psst… now you know.

PSST… This weekend Little Italy is about to turn its streets into an open-air Italian art gallery. 👀🇮🇹

And the art? It’s literally under your feet.

The Galbani Bella Vita Fest is back October 17–18, and there’s more to discover than food and wine.

Here’s what makes it worth the trip:

🎨 40+ chalk artists creating large-scale artwork right on the pavement.

🇮🇹 A 500-year-old tradition. Street painting traces back to Renaissance-era Italy, where traveling artists known as Madonnari created artwork on the streets.

🍷 A little taste of Italy. Explore more than 10 Italian wines in the festival’s wine garden, with optional tasting tickets.

🍝 Live cooking demonstrations featuring Chef Marco Sciortino, plus Italian food vendors and live music.

✨ The best part? General admission is FREE. Bring your friends, bring the famiglia, and make an afternoon of it.

📍 WHERE: Little Italy, San Diego — centered around Piazza della Famiglia
📅 WHEN: Saturday, October 17 (11 AM–6 PM) & Sunday, October 18 (11 AM–5 PM)
🎟️ COST: Free entry. Wine tastings and food cost extra.

Comment “VINO” below and I’ll send you a link to purchase tickets to their wine tastings.

PSST… here’s your reason to go: Don’t just walk through the festival. Watch the artists work. Look closely at the details. You might discover a whole art form you never knew was happening right here in San Diego.

Save this for your weekend plans and send it to someone who’d love a little la dolce vita. 👀

Psst… now you know,

Psst… San Diego. 👀 Your next family meal might cost less than you think.

Some of the best local food finds aren’t always new restaurants. Often they’re the deals hiding in places you already know — if you know when to look.

Here are 4 worth putting on your radar this week. 2 is easily found throughout the city:

🌮 TUESDAY — Rubio’s
$2.50 Original Fish Tacos or Classic Chicken Tacos. Eight tacos = $20 before tax. Now that’s some dinner math.

🔥 WEDNESDAY — Del’s Hideout
Get a free kids’ meal with a qualifying full-price adult entrée of $18.95 or more.

🥙 SATURDAY & SUNDAY — The Kebab Shop
A free Kids Box with a qualifying regular-price Wrap, Box or Plate purchase plus a fountain drink. In-store only.

🍕 THE UNEXPECTED FIND — Prince Street Pizza
A $5.99 pizza Surprise Bag listed through Too Good To Go. Variety or specific flavors not guaranteed, so check the app before heading out.

Psst… remember to read the fine print. Qualifying purchases, location participation, taxes and other restrictions matter. Check the current offer before ordering.

📌 Save this for your next food run.

👀 Send it to someone who always knows where to find a deal.

Psst… now you know.
Follow for the next one.
