Our 18-year-old selves really had no idea what we were committing to when we admitted to liking Gilmore Girls all those years ago - but I think the universe did.

13 years, 3 apartments, 3 cities, 2 boroughs, 4 NYE parties, 2 years of Cookie Monster, 1 house, 1 flat (basically), 1 trash gate, countless fights, endless laughter, and the 1 dorm that started it all.

Talk about committing to the bit.

Through all the laughter, tears, fights, and hangovers; I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in crime, wifey, best friend, sister, or roommate.

There are so many things I could say about this next chapter. How much I’m going to miss our late night orders, our reality show binges, the panicked “what are are you wearing”, our spontaneous girl talks, the Polaroids, hosting parties together, me literally never hearing you, the look you get when I go “little sister mode” and choose chaos, the look we give each other when we want to go home order food and watch reality tv, every HelloFresh dinner.

How excited I am about these next chapters, to see what amazing things are on the horizon, to transitioning into neighbors so we can eventually become roommates again in retirement.

How grateful I have been to grow with you, all the fights, the happy tears, the sad tears, the best times, the worst times, I’m so grateful that we got to be be girls together under one roof for so long; it’s been magical.

Or simply, how much I’m going to miss being your roommate.

What an epic story we have.

I could go on, so I’ll just leave as this:

If our 18-year-old selves saw us now, they’d be so proud of us - SHOCKED - but very proud.

(and thank god we got hot)

Thank you for everything. I love you, I’ll see you in the morning.

To know my grandma, was to love her. Progressive, hilarious, an absolute icon, and oh so full of love - some of the best parts of me are from her. Although I had so much time with her, it feels cut so short. But I like to believe my grandpa was waiting and welcomed her with open arms, I know I can’t wait to see her again.

But until then, I’ll raise a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc, with three ice cubes, and toast to my favorite farm girl, best scrabble player I know, the true Sullivan Matriarch, Frances Sullivan. taken in Oak Park, Illinois by @psulli27

Reminiscing about when I turned 30 in July and all I got were some horrible pictures, in this magical place, to prove it.

I have many things I could say about how much this iconic trip meant to me but I’ll just say this:
