Poet Nikky Finney refers to repetition as holiness.
If the subject is repeated are they now sacred?
What does mean to make a person holy or sacred?
Who were/are these people?
Do they know they’re sacred?
Do they feel it?

I sabotage my beauty by never seeing myself as beautiful
Hung my shoulders with the weight of what the world thought of me,
Unbecoming

————————————

Surprise! my hair and I have a love hate relationship. Dealing with hair loss is an uphill battle. Existing outside out the beauty standard had become further exasperated and I’m tired of trying and lying.

This shit is hard! It’s more than just hair.

Comparison is the enemy! I am BEAUTIFUL, even if I forced myself to see it today :)

I don’t have many photos of my short hair on my instagram. And I think that’s a damn shame. by @psychedelicsonnet

Who are these people? What stories do they hold? How were their memories lost?

Early iterations of a project reimagine the lives of lost images.
