We took great care in designing a bold and eccentric interface that reflected Blackbird’s (@blackbirdvc) free spirited brand identity. 🕊️⁠ ⁠ When it comes to maximalist aesthetics, considering usability and layout of information was crucial to separating a random mess from a well structured masterpiece. 🧩⁠ ⁠ 😏 Our favourite interaction can be found on the ‘About’ page, allowing users to click and drag card components around the page, adding a playful experience to content rich elements.⁠ ⁠ #madeinwebflow #webflow #webdesign taken in New Zealand by @psychoactive.studios

Having recently undergone a brand refresh, Blackbird (@blackbirdvc) approached us to redesign their company website with an aesthetic that was vibrant☀️, experiential🧪 and most importantly, reflected their creative ambitions and mission statement. ⁠🌌⁠ ⁠ Our primary intention was to push the boundaries, and challenge the Venture Capital aesthetic, yet still maintain an air of approachability that appealed to Blackbird’s target audience; founders seeking investment. ⁠ ⁠ Throughout the project we used colour and imagery to evoke an electric look and feel whilst still maintaining Blackbird's professional VC demeanour.🐦️⁠ ⁠ #madeinwebflow #webflowpartner #webdesign taken in Wellington, New Zealand by @psychoactive.studios

This project is heavily inspired by sci fi, echoing the feeling of modern yet futuristic products that @studio.s.ii creates.⁠ ⁠ Users are first greeted with the studio name slowly animating in at a cinematic and impactful rate. 🎞️ Products and case studies have a glitchy, rippling effect when hovered over and other elements light up like a neon sign. ⁠ ⁠ With 360 degree product rotation abilities, users have the ability to inspect furniture items by clicking and dragging.🔄⁠ ⁠ #madeinwebflow #webdesign #webflow⁠ by @psychoactive.studios

@studio.s.ii founders Erica Sellers and Jeremy Silberberg reached out to Psychoactive Studios seeking a Webflow partner to bring their sci-fi and film inspired UI designs to life. 🤖⁠ ⁠ The purpose of this project was to build an online brand presence by creating a place where people can discover their furniture and obtain a sense of their personal identity.🔎⁠ ⁠ Erica and Jeremy were such fun clients to work with. With cross device compatibility in mind from the get go, we worked with the Soul Æther team to adapt concept characters and illustrations for the web, finding a balance between visual quality and performance. 🤹⁠ ⁠ We implemented an automated, tiered performance system allowing us to deliver high visual fidelity on high end devices, and a slightly scaled back yet more performant version for less capable devices. ⚖️⁠ ⁠ #webgl #interactivedesign #webdesign by @psychoactive.studios
