This week’s wins!

Hi friends! Trying to start this new theme and routine for myself. Celebrating small wins as often as possible 🤓 It’s so easy to get caught up in life and focus on destinations you haven’t reached yet rather than the unique journey you’re on to get there. Focusing on where you may not yet want to be and things you need or should be doing, rather than taking a second to slow down and realize how far you’ve already come.

I’m taking a moment to appreciate the little wins I face week after week!

Here are a few highlights from this past week 🫶🏼

Hi friends!

Since we’re a little over half way through the year, I wanted to share a little catch up. Some things I’ve achieved/accomplished in fitness so far this year 🤭

1. Re-introduced and revamped this fitness account (using it for work as an outlet but also to reach as many people as possible to help them an spread positivity, especially positivity in and about fitness) 🌸
2. Completed 1hour on the stair master 😅
3. Got into running 🤓
4. Started a new career path as a Personal Trainer (something I’ve been thinking of for a while and finally acted on it) 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️
5. Got myself certified as a Personal Trainer 🤗
6. Hired myself a Personal Trainer to keep growing physically but also professionally (she’s become my bestie too) 👯‍♀️
7. Started trying different forms of fitness 🤙🏻
8. Doing some exercise just for fun and to move my body (that’s the only goal)

More to come on this account and I’m so so happy and excited you’re here🤗💞

My week of meal prep! Eating more and a little differently to really achieve my fitness goals and keep me FUELED for my days, lifts and runs!!

Breakie: yogurt parfait and hashbrown, bacon and egg cups
Lunch: Buffalo chicken lettuce wraps
Snacks: Raspberry bark, protein pancakes and protein energy balls

Plus my pre workout snack 😁 (also always open to meal recos) by @pt.michaelaa

Where do I start 😆🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️

Last Saturday I ran my first ever 10k and it was exhilarating!!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to recap the day but it was so electric, so much energy and what an uplifting atmosphere to be in! ✨

Although I’m trying not to address the stats of everything, it’s something I’m going to start tracking when I run. For this race… I completed it in the time I wanted and at my best pace BUT the best part was being part of and embracing the running community and doing this for fun but also to know and say I can!

The number of wonderful random strangers cheering every runner on, giving the boosts of energy was electric. Running in a race was much more of a mental game than I thought. Your body gets tired far before your mind does, but you quite literally just put one foot in front of the other and do the best you can🫶🏼

We cheered on some friends running the 5k, basked in the energy of the marathon weekend, we all kicked ass in our 10ks then finished the day off with a celebratory dinner all together!

This is only the start to my running journey and I’m SO exited to see where it takes me ☺️

Ps - words of advice… stretch before the run, hydrate and eat WELL, make sure you have good shoes and remember training IS important! I learned these things the hard way but recovered strong! 🍌🥝🥯🧃 by @pt.michaelaa

Come with me to my first day of my first run club!! 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️

I recently joined @riseandrunclub for a Friday morning movement but also as a fun and social way to get into running and out of my comfort zone. One fitness goal of mine this year is to start doing different and fun forms of movement and get myself to like running! This has helped and challenged me to run longer distances (10k recap coming soon)

This group is a vibe, everyone runs at their own pace, we have a scenic run along the canal and end the time with a well deserved social coffee… all before 8am! 😋

Come train with me for my 10k!!!

Running is new to me, but is also one of my new goals for fitness this year that I’m training and learning. I’ll be posting more updates from this training journey; and of course with a full recap after I complete the marathon 😌

This has been an interesting journey so far but as a friend reminds me “we can do hard things”! 🤗

This week on my plate…

Breakfast - Cinnamon roll overnight oats (staple in getting protein and good nutrients to start the day)

Lunch - trying to have 2 lunch options for the week now (this week is shrimp, pasta and avacado + ground beef, rice and veggies) *protein shake for extra protein

Dinner - Chef Kelly’s recipe 🤓

Snacks - (HUGE snack girlie here) dates w pb&chocolate, fibre bar and apple

Meal prep as a busy gym girlie not tracking but eating for maintenance right now 😌

Hi! I’m Michaela and I’m so happy you’re here 😁 I started this account for myself and my own progress to track my own lifestyle and progress BUT I want to create a safe space for my gym and movement loving community.

Here’s a little glimpse into my life as a 23yo gym lover and personal trainer …

I’ve been in the gym consistently for about 2.5-3 years and recently decided to work in the fitness industry. This has been passion of mine for a little while and I finally decided to take the leap 😌 My goal is not only to motivate and help people find their love for the gym but to inspire people to live their best and healthiest lives (& judgement free).

The gym has helped me in so many aspects of life and I’m so excited to share this enjoyment and learn about people stories!

More to come as I develop this account and more insights as I navigate this crazy fun life ❤️‍🔥🌎

💪🏼🩷
