Jee whiz, what a ride… the Rams gave me more than just a jersey to wear—it gave me a family, a purpose, and a place to grow into the person I am today. From early morning workouts to the late nights with teammates who became my brothers, every moment was a lesson, every challenge an opportunity, and every game a reminder of how much this time has meant to me. It’s taken a few weeks to wrap my head around the whole experience and share a lot of emotions with loved ones during this time.

I’ve been blessed with coaches who believed in me, teammates who pushed me, and fans who both supported me and motivated me with every high and low throughout my 3 seasons as a Ram. Wearing the green and gold was an honor, and now it’s incredibly emotional knowing that this chapter of College Football has come to a close once and for all. Football has given me so much, but the friendships, the lessons, and the memories will stay with me forever and ever.

Thank you, Colorado State, for everything. I’m very excited to become one of CSUs biggest fans from here on out whether I am near or afar!

The Nick Novak 2025 CFL Specialist Showcase is set to feature some of the best free agents available, including Australian Punter Paddy Turner from Colorado State University!

@pt41_, a product of ProKick Australia, was a two-time team captain and earned spots on the Ray Guy Award watchlist in both 2023 and 2024. In his senior year, Paddy punted 64 times for 2,555 yards, averaging 40 yards per punt.

What stands out is that all 64 punts were kept in play with no touchbacks, landing 19 punts inside the 20-yard line and forcing 8 fair catches.

Over his entire career, he totalled 182 punts with a 40.6-yard average, including 30 punts over 50 yards and 50 pinned inside the 20-yard line, all without a single blocked punt.

Turner’s directional punting kept return yards under 100 in each of his seasons and he’s yet to allow a punt return touchdown, showing his ability to put the ball exactly where his coverage team needs it to be.

Off the field, Paddy’s made a huge impact too, raising nearly $10,000 for suicide prevention through the Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County. He pledged $20 for every punt he placed inside the 20-yard line while also encouraging others to join him in supporting the Fort Collins community.
