Perfect weekend to finish this end of summer reading. The nor’easter is relentless in its wind and lashing rain so hunkered down with this for the duration…

Friday Flashback from 1973 @ptparch , and my first piece of art, Peter Max’s Atlantic Runner from his Atlantis Series 1972. Given to me as a graduation present by my boyfriend Dudley Cannada while at Auburn University.
This was the first step on a long and enjoyable journey of collecting art …

Friday Flashback to 1989 and Robert Rauschenberg, prescient as always, choosing images for his monumental Soviet/American Array 1989 chose an image of the World Trade Center to represent America. Taken from the corner of Ludlow and Canal Street in lower Manhattan and with The New York City Hall in the foreground, it is juxtaposed with Saint Basil‘s Cathedral in Moscow, as representing the two nations.

Friday Flashback to 1973-77 @ptparch and the full transfer of my 4 tome Journal “ Observations of a Young Man “ , written largely in longhand script and in red ink, to my iPad . This project has taken most of the summer and now must go through a revision to filter out the obvious typos , spelling and punctuation errors for which Architects are especially known .
Not altogether sure what the next steps are but hopefully friends will help guide this process to a successful conclusion…Authors Night 2027 at the East Hampton Library is only a year away! @ptparch #observationsofayoungman #journalinspiration #architecturalarchives # by @ptparch
