4 more of the little paintings I started at @workshops_at_febbraio last week. I have put them in my sketchbook as I might develop one or two of them into larger paintings. I am off now for two weeks as my daughter and granddaughter arrive on Wednesday. I wonder what Juniper will think of Scotland. On Tuesday, I went to the Royal Academy of Art's summer exhibition. The last time I went was before Covid and I wasn't impressed. This time around was much better with lots of smaller works. There are always works where you scratch your head and go really? There seems to be more celebrity entries as well (TV personalities),one of which caused me to say in my head, really? I spend about 3 hours there. After walking around Milton Keynes the previous evening (cheap hotel and only £21.50 train ticket which includes underground) and then walking around central London crippled me. Yesterday I couldn't even carry my case up some stairs, I was in so much pain. I am getting better today but highlights how much I have neglected my fitness. Time to fix that. Today I was acting as a steward for Toon art club's summer exhibition. I have only wxhibited in a show once before, about 15 years ago. It was fantastic seeing a red dot by my painting, Big boots to fill which I painted in 2014. My first ever sale!

Amazing work

I really like this etching ny Bobby Johnstone but my husband didn't dislike it but recognised it was a celtic v rangers. So i don't think i can buy it 😥

Troon art club is a big supporter of the local schools.

For today's warm up sketch, i stuck to a black and white palette. As you can see, I must have touch or had some red on my brush. Yesterday's attempt came from making a mess, and using the left over paint plus fineline applicators( reason for the mess). My warmup sketchbook entry for today. Last night as I was packing up my bag for today's class, I used leftover mulberry paper to collage the page. When I got to Dunure, I drew a very basic line drawing over the collage. #warmupsketchbook #collage #acrylicpainting #poscapen
