When his family left the country, they left Hope behind, in an empty apartment.

Whoever found him was given a choice: keep him, or throw him out on the street.

Thankfully, a kind stranger brought him to Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre, where he has been safe ever since.

Meet Hope.

He’s tiny, completely toothless and quite possibly the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. After everything he’s been through, he still trusts people. He still wags his tail. He still has so much love to give.

Hope would be perfect for apartment living. He doesn’t need much, just a soft bed, gentle meals and a family who will never leave him behind again.

He was abandoned once. Let his story end with a home.

Hope is available for adoption at @rakawc. If you can give this little boy the loving home he deserves, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share his story. Someone out there could be Hope’s person.

Hope wears Golden Shadow, our ode to senior dogs. A portion of every sale helps provide meals for dogs at RAKAWC through Wunderdog’s Gift a Meal programme. @wunderdogae

Yuna used to be all black. Now, little by little, she’s turning white. 🤍

Meet Yuna, our tiny sweetheart.

Yuna was rescued as a puppy and has grown up at the shelter. Every white hair on her face marks another year spent waiting for a family of her own.

She’s small, sweet and doesn’t need much space at all, so she’s perfect for apartment living. A cosy corner, a gentle walk and someone to love her is all Yuna is asking for.

She’s waited long enough. Let’s make sure she gets to spend the rest of her greying years at home.

Yuna is available for adoption at @rakawc. If you can give this tiny sweetheart a loving home for her golden years, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share her story. Someone out there could be Yuna’s person.

A golden girl for our golden campaign. 🤍✨

Meet Goldie - she was rescued as a tiny puppy and has grown up at the shelter. She’s a senior now, but nobody seems to have told her that. She’s fun-loving and bouncy, she can’t resist a jump, and she will do just about anything for a treat. Food is the way to Goldie’s heart, and she’s not shy about it.

She’s all personality, and she’s ready to bring that energy and joy into a home of her own.

Goldie is available for adoption at @rakawc. If you can give this happy girl a loving home for her golden years (with snacks), please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share her story. Someone out there could be Goldie’s person.

She has never known life outside the shelter. 🤍

Meet Adira, the sweetest, most darling girl.

Adira was rescued as a tiny puppy and has spent her entire life at the shelter. She’s now around seven years old, and every one of those years has been spent waiting for a family to call her own.

She has so much love to give and has never had a home to give it to. Imagine her first night in a bed that’s hers. Her first morning walk with her own person. Her first real place to belong.

Adira is available for adoption at @rakawc. If you can give this darling girl the home she’s been waiting her whole life for, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share her story. Someone out there could be Adira’s person.

Meet Rocco, our darling boy.

Rocco was rescued as a tiny puppy, and the shelter is the only home he has ever known. He has spent years watching other dogs leave with their new families, waiting patiently for his own turn.

He’s calm, sweet and easy to love. Rocco doesn’t need much to be happy, just someone to come home to, a soft spot to rest, and the quiet comfort of belonging to someone at last.

We’d love for Rocco’s turn to finally come.

Rocco is available for adoption at @rakawc . If you can offer this sweet boy a loving home for his golden years, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share his story. His family could be just one share away.

She had a family once. 🤍

Four years ago, Lana’s family left the country and she was surrendered to the shelter. She’s been waiting ever since for someone to choose her again.

Lana would love to be the only dog in the house. She has a whole heart full of love and she’d like to give all of it to her people.

After four years of waiting, Lana deserves a home that’s hers for good. A familiar voice. A bed of her own. People who stay.

Lana is available for adoption at @rakawc . If you can give this sweet girl a loving home for her golden years, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share her story. Someone out there could be Lana’s person.

Big. Gentle. A little shy. And the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. 🤍

Meet Jackson, our gentle giant.

Jackson was rescued as a puppy and has grown up at the shelter. He’s now around eight years old, and all he’s hoping for is a quiet, peaceful place to spend his retirement.

He’s timid at first, completely non-reactive and as soft-natured as they come. Jackson won’t ask you for much. A clean bed. A full bowl. Regular walks by your side. And someone patient enough to let him settle in his own time.

He has no health concerns, just a whole lot of love waiting for the right person.

Jackson is available for adoption at @rakawc . If you can offer this gentle soul a calm, loving home for his golden years, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share his story. His family could be just one share away.

Rescued as a puppy. Still waiting for a home at eight years old.

Meet Gracie, our first Golden Shadow girl. 🤍

She has spent all her years growing up—and growing older—in the shelter. Now, we’re hoping someone will look into those big, sweet eyes and see the companion they’ve been looking for.

Gracie is a gentle, loving girl. With her little tongue peeking out and a face you could fall in love with, she’s simply looking for someone to share her days with.

A person to sit beside. A familiar voice calling her name. A home where she belongs.

After so many years of waiting, we would love for Gracie’s next chapter to be filled with the everyday moments of being someone’s dog.

Gracie is available for adoption at @rakawc . If you can offer this sweet girl a loving home for her golden years, please contact Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre directly.

And if you can’t adopt, please share her story. Someone out there could be Gracie’s person.
