From an idea in my head to something people actually wanted to hold.

Early 2025, pullcollector was an idea.
October 2025, the first pieces were sold.

Since then: cards came through my hands, fabrics became part of their stories, collectors became customers, customers became connections, and those connections opened up a world I couldn’t have mapped out when I started.

A year of building, learning, creating, reworking and figuring out what pullcollector could become.

To everyone who trusted me with a card, bought a piece, shared a post, started a conversation, opened a door or simply stayed around:

October, in indigo velvet.

The 2000 Japanese Neo Premium File 3 Celebi, illustrated by Sumiyoshi Kizuki. As the year moves towards its final chapter, a deep royal blue felt like the right choice for a Pokémon that has always held a special place in my collection.

My favourite Celebi, reimagined through Pullcollector.

An encounter suspended between recognition and mystery.

The 2001 Japanese Web Hitmonlee #014/048, 1st Edition, PSA 9, carries Shin-ichi Yoshida’s Vending Series artwork into the e-Card era, with a partially concealed character whose identity remains open to interpretation. With 149 copies graded by PSA and 36 in Mint 9, its appeal extends beyond population numbers to the harmony of its earthy palette and the quiet tension within the scene.

Brown leather, echoing the hidden figure in Yoshida’s 2001 Hitmonlee artwork. A connection that remains, even when the identity does not.

One of the last Himeno artworks before the CG era, and one I wanted in my collection for the scene alone.

Clefable floating above the city at night, with the moon behind it, creates a strong contrast between the deep blue sky and the soft pink and yellow of the Pokémon.

I chose the brown leather PAD PC for its warm relationship with the pink and yellow, while the brown gains depth against the blue background. The padded, curved construction also picks up on the rounded silhouette of Clefable and the moon behind it, creating a visual connection between the card and the piece surrounding it.

Wool felt like the obvious choice for this one. 🐑

Mareep from the 2002 Japanese Wind from the Sea set, illustrated by Misono. At first glance, the colours of the checked wool fabric might not seem like an obvious match. But the green field, blue sky and brown landscape create a natural connection to the fabric’s brown, blue and green tones, while the colours of Mareep itself remain completely untouched.

A piece of Pokémon history, chosen for the artist behind it as much as the Pokémon itself.

Yuka Morii’s work has been a defining part of my collecting journey, and this Togepi felt like one of those cards that simply had to find its place in the archive. The brown leather Pullcollector brings that choice into the world beyond the card, where materials, colour and personal style start to speak the same language.

A third Hoothoot entered the chat. 💭

This time, the original Japanese version from the 2002 Mysterious Mountains set. What I love about this card is the simplicity of Hoothoot’s character, an owl presented in such a playful and almost innocent way, perfectly made for a child’s imagination. Years later, I can look at the same artwork from an adult perspective and see something else: a mysterious character arriving from the mountains, carrying wisdom from another time, as if it came back to tell us something we should remember for the future.

I had been looking for this one for a while. I found one before, let it slip away, and thought I had missed my chance.

The purple knit brings out the softer side of Espeon. Soft, warm, almost innocent. Quite the contrast to a Pokémon whose strength comes from the mind. That tension is what makes the pairing work for me, especially with Clandestina playing in the background.

The artwork is what made this my favourite card. The shadow at the top of the dome tells your eye exactly how the structure curves away, while the capitals and architectural details give the whole scene a real sense of space. It feels fitting for Alto Mare, a city inspired by Venice, with its architecture carrying that same old-world character.
