I came home from teaching lessons at about 8:15. Had this cute Lil cake in a box. Rachel was upstairs reading. I call up the stairs asking if she would come help me carve a pumpkin. Im not sure the last time we laughed that much.

Poor Man's Gambit is taking up residence at Red Stag Pub this weekend. Some of the best singing, strumming, and fiddling you are going to hear in the Lehigh Valley! I love their album tune "Bee's Wing"

Un official Celtic Classic! I'm happy to say that the guys of Pipers Request have become friends of mine over the past few years. These super nice guys are going to be playong at Red Stag Pub this evening. Ypu definitely want to go hear them for some great irish Uilleann pipe playing like you won't hear in many other groups!

To get ready for @celticclassic , I welcomed the student with some penny whistle as they came to school
Yes, this is being played in the "wrong" key, but i really like the slightly more mellow tone of my @lirwhistle Bb whistle

The Rogue Diplomats are another Must See group at Celtic Classic. Not just because I went to college with Brian's wife and Nate, but because this group is really solid musicians and really entertaining performers. They are definitely the spiritual successors to Seamus Kennedy. Expect to laugh, drink and sing along.

Lets be honest here, you are going to Celtic Classic to see Seamus Kennedy. Seamus is best known for being really funny, but the real talk is that he is a really impressive musician with a very impressive career. If ypu haven't seen Seamus perform, you need to grab yourself a pint and get to his show this year

Pilgrims of Deep Run are a group of guys from Baltimore clearly inspired by groups like the Irish Rovers and the Dubliners. Listening to their recordings, have some fun twists on a bunch of standards
