Today, my heart holds both immense joy and a touch of sadness - a paradox that life often places before us. On one hand, I celebrate one of the most beautiful unions I have ever known: my best friend, Idrissa Cisse, marrying his kindred soul, Assatu Bah. On the other hand, I bear the quiet ache of absence, unable to fulfill the profound honor of standing beside my friend as his best man – Jatay S Keita or Saydou Bob Oscar na eat my wing…

Yet, life’s mysteries remind me that presence is not merely physical; it is the invisible thread of love, memory, and intention that ties us across any distance and time as friends since middle school. Assatu, without question, is among the fortunate few—she has been chosen by a man whose character is rich in integrity, strength, and tenderness. And Idrissa - what a triumph of spirit to have won the heart of such an exquisitely beautiful, intelligent and steadfast wife!

Their love, as I understand it over the years, is no fleeting flame but rather an enduring fire - a quiet rebellion against life’s uncertainties. Their journey is a reminder that what is destined will always find its way, weaving through time and circumstance with divine precision. Rarely have I witnessed two souls so authentically intertwined, bound not by fleeting passions but by a shared purpose, a deep reverence, and an unmatched love for each other.

In their story, I see the echoes of an ancient truth: love, in its truest form, is less about perfection and more about perseverance. It is not something we seek to possess but rather something we humbly receive, nurture, and protect.

Although my absence weighs heavily on my heart, I find comfort in knowing that you have triumphed and chosen to embark on this journey together for eternity. May Allah guide your path and bless you abundantly with health, happiness, and prosperity (& plentay chiren). by @pullo_dimo

What is life without true and genuine friends who always seek the best for you?! Glad to reconnect with y’all over the weekend! Nearly a decade ago I stepped into the African Leadership Academy in Johannesburg, not knowing that I was about to meet some of the most incredible people in life. Our shared experiences at ALA have shaped us into the people we are today, and our friendship continues to be a source of strength, inspiration, and unwavering support.

May you find friends who cultivate gardens of trust and sincerity, free from the mountains of jealousy and hypocrisy that embroil many friendships these days. by @pullo_dimo

Nothing beats Eid Day with a matching Bazan and Pottorou (beautiful handcraft African hat) in a space that feels and looks foreign. As I grow older, I genuinely appreciate how I’m increasingly falling in love with my African culture, taking pride in who I am and what I represent regardless where I am and who’s watching. Hope y’all had an amazing celebration with families and friends. by @pullo_dimo

Graduation Week- this time around a WHOLE MASTER’S DEGREE!!! AlhamdullilAllah🙏🏾

This week kicked off with the wonderful privilege of joining fellow graduates at our first event of graduation week - a heartfelt celebration honoring First-Gen and Minority Graduates from all corners of Harvard University.

Dressed in my traditional African attire, the Puttoru and Leppi, I felt a profound sense of pride representing my heritage in a space historically unfamiliar with the African culture. It was a moment of both introspection and jubilation, shared with a community that has been my beacon of support and guidance throughout my journey at Harvard. Special shout out to Mo Mohamvic Dokata Kosi & Shahbaaz Jalloh for being the rock-stars of this journey- thank you for your incredible support. by @pullo_dimo

As the semester comes to an end, I had to demonstrate the Liberian natural soccer talent on a global scale, scoring the winning goal for my team. On the team I am called George Weah 😆 by schoolmates.
