Race 2: P14 (Championship points!)

Bonus points:
Fastest Hooligans Triumph
Fastest Privateer (opinion)

Racing is already a drug. Gridding up and racing people I've been watching on TV for years is like doing a bunch of different drugs at once. Having people there to support you and help you achieve the goals you've set makes it absolutely unforgettable.

Coming into the Daytona round I was nervous. I'm on a new bike and honestly I wasn't comfortable with it yet. I crashed just two weeks ago and I was headed into an atmosphere with a lot more pressure than I'm used to.

Showing up a day early to get setup was normal. However, I had to take photos, pick up my license, and get tech inspected to receive my official number plates. Seeing the AMA frame sticker get placed on my bike was a different feeling

For practice I just had to go out and ride the bike. Surprisingly, i set a 1:59 in just 30 minutes on the track and pretty much qualified to race. A couple hours later I was on a new rear tire and I had to do it again. I dropped a couple tenths and made it on the grid. Unsure of who'd be next to me.

Morning practice comes and I'm around the same time, nothing crazy. Grids come out and I'm next to huge names. Kaleb De Keyrel, Herrin, Alexander, McWilliams, Nate Kern, Joel Ohman... Absolutely wild to see on paper

Race 1 was a blitz. The top group leaves me in the dust, and after a few laps Ohman shows me a wheel. I decided to try and get faster in the infield for a lap or two, and it doesn't work. Ohman stuck to me like glue and passed me on the last lap using the draft.

I'll make a post about Barber soon but really I'm still reliving Daytona in my head, including the battles I had with Sam and Nicolai

Thanks to ASRA for putting on a great event and @noiselessproductions along with @fullthrottlevisuals for putting together a kickass photography/Videography team and package.

I cannot WAIT to go back here and ride again in any capacity. MotoAmerica... ASRA... Etc.

SPECIAL THANKS to my DAD and the American Legion Riders, Chapter #284 in Colonial Heights, VA for helping make this weekend and the photos attainable.

Friendly reminder if you'd like to support my race season at no cost to yourself, just use my link when buying @woodcrafttechnologies products!

I'm wishing I was riding my bike, but I'm working on bigger things at the moment.

Things that will allow me to compete in more MotoAmerica events come 2027.

Wishing I was riding my bike this weekend. Seeing everyone riding Tally makes me very jealous.

Welcome to the 2026 LS2 Family, Austin Pully!

Based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Austin has built his racing foundation through nearly a decade of track days and three years of competition. Riding a Triumph Street Triple RS and Daytona 675R, he quickly made his mark with two CMRA championships as a novice, followed by a WERA Heavyweight Twins National Championship.

Now competing at the Expert level, Austin has earned strong results including a runner up finish in the CMRA Solo Middleweight Championship and two top five finishes at ASRA’s Race of Champions at Daytona. Heading into 2026, he is set to take on MotoAmerica’s Super Hooligans National Championship with LS2. by @pully_218

A few reminders to myself after a close call, 😬 because I screw up all the time... So I thought I'd share to maybe stop someone else from making the same mistake:

1. Slow down in pit lane (limiter set at 34 mph, too fast for track days)

2. If the bike slips into neutral, go up a gear, not down, or rev match

Nothing to see here except stupidity 😅 Maybe an aftermarket slipper clutch would've helped? by @pully_218
