Three distinct artists. One standout South African collaboration. Intoxicated is out today.

A record built on contrast: @iamnaakmusiq unmistakable presence, @bunxapa ’s deep Afro-electronic production, and @rowlene_sa sa ’s soulful vocal delivery meeting somewhere after dark.

On Intoxicated, Rowlene brings an intimacy and emotional pull that cuts through the track, while Bun Xapa builds the rhythmic, atmospheric foundation around NAAK’s evolving Afro House direction. It’s a collaboration that connects three very different South African musical identities without losing the dancefloor at its centre.

Intoxicated also opens the first chapter of NAAK’s forthcoming After Hours EP on Paradise Sound System, arriving just before he heads to Amsterdam Dance Event, where South African electronic music takes centre stage as part of this year’s wider Sub-Saharan African focus. NAAK’s ADE programme is supported by the @sampra_official Development Fund, creating another pathway for South African music to travel into international rooms, audiences and conversations.
